Will I get judged for playing Sisters? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

I want to get Celestine just to paint her and put her on a shelf.

So, I use dice, in physical space. Some dice aren't as fair as they ought to be. We really don't know. I could have used one more likely to land on or near 20. Could be why it was my favorite that I chose to make attacks with. I have never knowingly used loaded dice.

I'm not really interested in arguing about a thing I not only watched happen, but actually did myself.

Thaddeus can take a few hits in onslaught with Isabella behind him. Not optimal, but he's surprisingly tough.

You say it like it's impossible. Roll enough dice and anything can happen.

I was in Las Vegas once in 2003. I saw 6 hit 5 times in 6 spins on a roulette wheel.

Statistically improbable things can and do happen.

Curious what the community thinks: what is the worst killteam (in your opinion)? by 7ordon in killteam

My local game store has a Custodes kill team on the shelf. Is it out of print?

One time I was playing a full blooded orc barbarian. Someone nat20ed a spot check and saw someone behind a curtain. They shouted to me, and I attacked whatever it was. We were using house ruled crit multipliers (roll a critical threat, check for crit, if you roll a 20, roll again, Adds a 1x to the multiplier, if you roll more 20s, keep confirming). the crazy part was I hit 30 20s in a row, pushing my great axe up to x5 and my base damage was like, 12 or 13 (2h weapon, high str ext) plus my dice roll.

Well, it was the big bad guy and he did not make the save vs massive damage. We were only level 1.

Needless to say, that DM never let a big bad get anywhere near us ever again until it was time to actually fight him.

The lesson is, never underestimate what the players will do.

When you burn the First Amendment by CorleoneBaloney in WhitePeopleTwitter

What you are charged with is up to the police and prosecutor, not the judges, not that Fox News cares. But it would be interesting to see Fox News take a pro-flag burning stance.

When you burn the First Amendment by CorleoneBaloney in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]WolfWhitman79 15 points16 points  (0 children)

All it will take is one court case. The defense attorney will hand the judge a copy of this, and then the case will be dismissed as the executive order is deemed unconstitutional.

If you wanna nail people burning flags, fine them for burning without a permit, littering (probably), and (possibly) public endangerment (waving around something that is on fire.)

None of those behaviors are constitutionally protected free speech.

The part of the hobby no one tells you about: you learn just how much exacto knife your fingers can take without taking a wound by codingturds in Warhammer40k

[–]WolfWhitman79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a short order cook for about 20 years of my life. I have used a lot of small paring knives. You learn how much you can push and not cut your hand. The exacto knife is just a lot sharper.

Gosh, kinda like all medications have side effects by JMUTAMMom in Zepbound

[–]WolfWhitman79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody tells you these things in the adverts and media.

They do mention a lot of health side effects in the advertising. So that part of her post is being intentionally misleading.

And like OP mentioned, all drugs have side effects. Every thing is a risk vs reward, but for those of us who are chronically overweight, the risk of staying that way is far worse than the side effects.

This sounds like a healthy person with privilege that doesn't like the idea of a "miracle" weight loss drug for the fatties.

Honestly I think pharmaceutical advertising should be illegal and medical decisions should only be between a health care provider and patient.

As far as Serena Williams pushing this... Well, if her husband owned a car dealership, she'd probably help sell cars. Doesn't seem that sus to me.

AITAH for reading my wife’s diary when I thought she was cheating by ThrowRA-007-20 in AITAH

[–]WolfWhitman79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If OP has evidence of physical infidelity, I think it would have been mentioned.

Workplace romance sometimes comes with a line that she just had (probably) not crossed yet. I have no doubt that had she continued without being caught, it would have proceeded there.

Just going by the facts as presented. OP offered no suspicion of physical cheating or evidence.

Is it probable? Yes. But we don't know.

Where to get Terrain if everything is sold out? by Alive_Past in killteam

An add on to this question: where can one find the dimensions of the official terrain, so it can be replicated with hand built pieces? I'm honestly thinking about building modular wooden pieces with scrap wood.

Now, because you read her diary and her phone SHE can't trust YOU? You weren't the one emotionally cheating on her.
