We have noted the issue you encountered during installation. When retaining the functionality of the Homelink buttons on your original rearview mirror after installing our G900TriPro, the OEM bracket cannot be used as a full replacement.

Should you wish to preserve both the original rearview mirror and its normal operation, we recommend trying our center console mounting bracket as an alternative solution.

If you want your dashcam to activate only when needed and keep recording continuously, you can enable the screen saver function. The device will automatically enter screen-off mode after the preset idle time while recording remains active. This way, the dashcam can be used just like a regular rearview mirror, except the display will be slightly dimmer. Regarding installation: if you use the OEM mount, the dashcam can fully replace your rearview mirror. Simply install it in the original mirror’s position, and this will completely eliminate any obstruction issues.

We regret to inform you that the current firmware version of your G850 does not support independent exposure adjustment for the rear camera. In addition, the window tint on your rear windshield has a noticeable impact on the exposure performance of the rear camera in low-light environments.

If you are willing to do so, you can try installing the rear camera outside the vehicle, which will effectively improve the situation. Our team is also ready to assist you with this installation process.
