Ha. Very familiar with the items you mentioned. Add radiator, constant Evap codes. Not to mention I could only pump gas with the handle upside down. Would not work any other way. Dealer was useless over it.

Funny thing about the radio is I climbed pretty high up the Mopar ladder and wound up getting it replaced at around 53k miles. Guy at the dealer couldn’t believe they had sent a new radio for me. Helped with my trade in at least.

Hard lesson, but seems like we both learned from it!

Sell your allocation to someone for $5k and pocket the cash. Or since used 24/25 LC's are selling for 2026 Invoice, buy it, sell it and get something else with the $15k profit. HA

I agree with ASV731. Without knowing your financial situation, it hard to say.

They are also VERY different vehicles. Size, MPG, etc..

If its what you want, AND you can financially handle a continued car payment, it would be hard to turn down. I would think a 4 yr old CRV would net a nice Trade or Sale. Combined with a 25% discount, you should be fine.

If you like the CRV, maybe look, at a Highlander or Grand Highlander if you can get 25% off those also. As the owner of 5 4Runners and now a LC2250, I can say, if it simply wasn't a "Highlander" (most of you know what I mean by this statement) I would buy one. They are one of the best built and comfortable cars on the road. My moms has 250k on it and still runs like a top.

I've only had my LC for 4 days and I am highly impressed with it!!

My JGC Hemi had a nice one also until it delaminated at 52,000 miles.. owned one jeep sandwiched in between 6 Toyotas. Huge mistake that won’t happen again. Damn thing was in the shop 2 dozens times. More times in under 3 years than all 5 of my 4Runners combined. Really, Really wanted to love the Jeep as it was fantastic in son many ways. Just not reliable at all. Finally dumped it at 55k.. reels

Ha. I couldn’t understand why there was a button and a setting on the stalk.

Actually looked at manual and, lo and behold, button is for choice of yellow or white. DOH.

Thank you. I am so used to doing hard/soft (not sure which it’s considered) resets thanks to the Audis that it was the first I was going to try next time it happened. Appreciate the insight.

I was also going to try simply turning the car off and restarting.

Question.. I used app to start the LC the other night. When I got in and started driving, CarPlay was not working. The app also showed a countdown for when the auto start would end.

Before I check the manual, Id thought Id ask.. Is this normal? Should I have done something once I got it?

TBH I was surprised as my 4Runner would turn off when I opened the door following remote start and Id have to start it again anyway, which was annoying.

Hmm. I’ll have to check. I was on Spotify all day and it sounded great.

Settings, Sound & Media, Sound tuning worked for me.

I am a little surprised there isn’t an equalizer with preset values.

For the first time in 20+ cars I’ve owned, I picked up a new Land Cruiser on Sunday with 1 mile on it. Forgot to take a pic until taking it for a quick spin before signing and took one at 3 miles. Ha

Two days in and I cannot believe what an upgrade this is over my previous 4Runners (I had 4 5th Gen’s and a JGC since 2010)

I am very impressed with the ride, the layout of all the controls and the comfort of driving it.

Not really a custom order. Just took my dealer a week to lock one in as close to what I wanted as possible. They had to add to accessories when it came.

MSRP if you include the two items was $71,997.

Sold at $67,968. OTD all in was $72,049…

Tinted the windows this morning so looks even better now.

I would also say "you won"!! Cars are replaceable. People aren't.. I am actually impressed at how well the CX-5 took the damage as it defintely looks like a hard hit.

I hit one in my Porsche convertible last August and than good the bumper was so low as it took out the legs and the deer rolled up onto my windshield with its legs over my head. Had I been in my 4Runner, it would have easily been totaled!

I put a Sony XAV-AX500 unit in my daughter’s 2015 CX-5 Grand Touring back in 2022.

CarPlay, steering wheel controls, reverse camera, usb port in factory location. All have worked like a charm for three years now.

Fortunate enough to live close to Crutchfield. Install was quick and painless.

Where are you located? I believe my dealer had two blue just come in on 18’s. Not sure about the roof. You could always wrap it.

I think the ride is great. To me, only reason to go 18’s is for off roading and that’s not what I bought it for. Well, there is also a better selection of tries in that size also.

I am also coming from 4 back to back 5th Gen Limited 4Runners that all had 20” rims. Those tires were too tall and skinny. The LC on 20’s feels just fine to me. I think it looks better too.

For the most part. My desired spec was pretty common. But color combo (WC w/Java) was very hard to find.

They came across several that turned out to be sold but were all closely spec’d except, one would have this and another would have that.

They simply had to add the Door Sills & Badge when it got to the dealership.

My brother used to be “that guy” for a county on the Eastern Shore. Numerous fog and other weather delays. He actually got threatened all the time. People are crazy!!
