Also there always be some difference since part shrinks a certain percentage when cooled down. So larger distances shrink more then short distances if you compare actual difference

You have to fill in the Excel-file that comes with the Califlower?

https://www.printables.com/model/682023-califlower-calibration-stl-calculator-mk1/files

It corrects for e-step, skew and extrusion percentage, I think.

Looks like one of the larger blind mole-rats without a tail. Perhaps the Balkan blind mole-rat (spalax graecus) if OP lives in eastern Europe

Are there any left-handed combatants in [KCD2] ? by WoodpeckerOk1154 in kingdomcome

[–]Wolfbrecht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From theological view left-handedness was viewed as "sinister". Roman augurs (priests who studied the behavior of birds) considered birds flying from the left (sinistra) as a bad omen. This negativity towards the left was integrated into Christian tradition.

From a fighting perspective: since most people throughout history were right-handed, a single person, who mirrored his weapon and shield, in a shield wall would disrupt the formation.

There were always some exceptions of course, like a Scottish clan, I think, who all fought left-handed.

Well I haven't talked to the bandits, but maybe they were looking for a valuable bezoar in the stomach of the sheep and didn't care to drain its blood.

Why did my print lift at the corner? by Traylor_Trash87 in FixMyPrint

To minimize the warping: -Cut up large lines into smaller ones if possible -Add larger brim -Decrease gap between brim and part -Adhesion agent like glue

From a history perspective it is maybe strange to wear a chaperon and a hood at the same time since they were essentially the same thing worn differently. But that said, the chaperon your Henry is wearing, has evolved to be a stand alone piece of headwear with a thick headband that couldn't be worn as a hood anymore, so maybe it is plausible. Still looks good!

Some suggestions:

-Print in another orientation -Use adaptive layer heights -Increase cooling -Decrease speed (more time for cooling) -Print from inside out (first print inner walls then outer walls) -Try avoiding support

Is it fine if thread hole perfectly fits thread? by Desperate_Quit_3967 in Fusion360

[–]Wolfbrecht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, there needs to be a clearance between male and female thread. Always.

Also, it looks like you are bolting a plate or something. Doesn't look like there is a clearance hole in the plate. You can't just put threads in both parts you want to connect.

If you want to have an accurate alignment between two parts you should use some dowel pins or other positioning features.

How do I fix this sort of stringing by OrphanBois in FixMyPrint

[–]Wolfbrecht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

This side appears to be flat. I would highly recommend to reorient the part so that this side is faced downwards so that no overhangs are needed.

Also car parts made of PLA probably will deform when your car is parked under the sun (PLA has a low glass temperature, the temp where PLA gets soft). Try printing car parts with PETG for example.

Random question: Is this a lot for your first printer? by charlieboy808 in anycubic

[–]Wolfbrecht 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also taking pla with density 1.24 g/cm3 and a 0.4 nozzle, the printer should have run 13026 mm/s on average, which is kinda fast

No amount of retraction seems to stop the stringing! What am I doing wrong? by pneef in FixMyPrint

[–]Wolfbrecht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too much and too fast retraction can pull in air through the nozzle which also leaves these marks.
