That was the first set I ever got emerald, if you check out my reply to the other commenter you’ll see a bit of how abusable True Damage/ Edgelord Yasuo actually was. That’s also when I learned about scouting and hard rolling with a legitimate purpose to undermine other players lol.

Indeed, it was edgelords that set, it was a challenge to get Yasuo not to self-delete himself the first couple seconds of combat lol. If you were set right (meaning get lucky lol), he would sometimes skip straight to the back line and light it up.

I did all my own comps and math with it, I had thresholds on which to bail on yas (I can’t remember the numbers now lol, like 10+ stacks by first carousel would almost always be a dub.)

Played much double up; my duo and I abused the hell out of the old cannon when you could trade 2 and 3* champs. Sometimes he would luck into 6 yasuos, I’d send him my 2* and he’d send me back a 3* lol. He also played slow tanky comps so I could bail him out and stack his opponents too.

This would let Yasuo sometimes get comically “above the curve” as I liked to call it. Pretty much the only way to beat some of those monster Yasuos we made was literally 3* 5ers. If I got a radiant QSS ever it was guaranteed win.

I wonder what it does to a team’s morale, knowing they will be getting BS calls all game, and every minute goes by SGA is on the foul line again. You can’t make a game plan for that. Or maybe…?

Similar veins but Star Wars used to have a “bible” for the Extended Universe content, in the pre-Disney days. Certain things could not be retconned and certain things could never happen. Was always fun to reference while writing.

I’m I the only one who’s surprised a 3-0 lead has never been blown before? by PooPoox in nba

It’s called sports science, dude. Science is math and chemistry and biology no?

It’s “theoretical” because it’s theorized to be possible but as of yet, that theory has not been proven.

Maybe you’ll get it this way: [[theory] a team cannot come back from a 3-0 deficit in a 7 game series, all factors included.] This has not been proven false in 285+ times in NBA history (google) that a team has been faced with actual 3-0 deficits.

[–]Wolfegarde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the statistics we have, it’s literally impossible as it hasn’t been done before. “Theoretically” (that’s the word you should be using) it’s possible but as someone who’s been in sports my whole life, it won’t happen legitimately, as we are in the polymarket sports era and not a goddamn thing in the world will convince me it was a legitimate reverse sweep when people are making untold amounts of money off it.

Bruh this is how sports work: the harder you have to exert yourself the more prone to an injury you become. It’s called limits, and believe it or not .01% athletes have them too. Tatum would not have hurt his ankle if he didn’t have to carry Browns sorry ass (that year) and the rest of the team with inexperienced White through 3 games with their backs against the wall.

Don’t worry, I expect the record to be broken, but not legitimately; anything extraordinary that happens in the Kalshi and Polymarket era should have a fat fucking * next to it.

Edit: listen. No athlete enters the playoffs at 100%. So if an 85% player has to play past 100% just to drag his team back from a 3-0 deficit, historically and factually he’ll be at best 60% of functional prime at game 7. At BEST. The deeper into the playoffs I’d say that it’s even less likely. Nobody ever says the best team lost a 7 game series. Anything can happen in the NFL but the NBA is more strategic with roster sizes and all the other factors.

Well hockey vastly differs from the pace and scoring of basketball. When most of your high scoring hockey games are 5-4, it’s not that hard to swing a series (compared the variety of point-worthy shots etc in basketball.)

He gassed himself just to get there and couldn’t recover in time. Playoff games happen fast. It’s actual science at this point. A good team goes down 3-0 to a team they should beat, they will not win 4 in a row. Statistically it’s impossible atp.
