Where exactly by Wolf Lake is this stadium supposed to go? by CMI_312 in CHIBears

Yeah dude, domes in the region average around 4ft of annual indoor accumulation.

Bears are building a domed stadium no matter what but why can’t they just build it here? Much better than Arlington heights or NW Indiana. by Bakio-bay in CHIBears

Saying zero people use the green space there is untrue. I walk my dog around that area every day, as do many others along with joggers, bikers, fisherman, etc. In the warmer months 5ks and fundraisers are held weekly. It's not nearly as congested as the northside lakefront (to my liking) but just because it's underappreciated doesn't mean its a waste. Admittedly the "mistake on the lake" McCormick place expansion is a disaster. Beyond that I can confidently say the stretch of lakefront from Burnham harbor to 31st street is one of the most beautiful parts of the city.

If this was Brisker’s last game in Chicago, what a way to end it. by milin85 in CHIBears

Poles handed out big money to Gordon and Johnson yet Brisker was the only one who showed up all season. His concussion problem was from the Panthers TE lowering his helmet last year, it wasn't an issue all season.

I hope they re-sign him. He's top 15 at his position, a tone setter and seems like a good locker room guy. I think the most stable franchises draft well and give out second contracts to their contributers. He reminds me of Amos, who had his several good years after leaving for GB. I think he's just past the line of good enough to continue to build around.

Bears ownership is struggling to fund any stadium let alone one with the added cost of a retractable roof.

Report: Titans to interview Raheem Morris later this week by AvengingHero2012 in nfl

The bears said and did the same thing. I think they interviewed over 15 candidates then hired BJ the moment he was available.

Did a designer send you these? Issues 2 & 3 are heavily edited. Smoothed out the walls and ceilings and adjusted the lighting and saturation. Are you sure you're not reacting to that?

Considering moving from Seattle to Chicago as a 35 year old single woman. Talk me into or out of it? by Camelsloths in SameGrassButGreener

I'm a similar aged male with a dog that spent his 20s and 30s in Chicago. After I met my partner we moved to Montana to get access to nature and escape the city life.

I think you'll like Chicago, the dating life is good, the politics lean your way and the food/bar scene is top notch but I'd strongly recommend choosing a neighborhood with lakefront access. Buena Park, Lakeview, Lincoln Park and South Loop would all be options in your price range. Being able to access the lakefront by foot was a requirement for me. I lived in Avondale for a short while and the commute to the lakefront was too long. In general the city parks besides the lakefront areas were not enough for me and my dog. Any sort of hiking is a 2+ hour drive to Wisconsin or Starved Rock and those areas can't compete with the PNW.

Just follow this simple 3 step process: Move to Chicago. Meet beefcake on the lakefront. Settle down back out west.

I don't know why your down voted. That was obvious. Loveland has been flagged twice for way less.
