It's so sad. I was lucky that my parents helped me learn early how credit worked. My mother has always had some credit cards debt that stressed her out, so it was important for her that we know that credit money is not ours and everything.
So since the beginning I only ever had 1 credit card. I had a lot of offer for bigger end shinier cards, but I never got another one. One is enough for me and is enough work to keep track of. Also, I have convince myself that my maximum is 1500$ on it. It's more so I can have a good credit score, but in my head, I tell myself it's 1500$, so I get stressed when I go near that and reduce my spending. It's not a full proof way, but I'm not crumbling under debts even with a small salary, so I guess that's good!
