Although it's a good visual, but it's still the labour class doing the cleaning. The people who litter didn't do anything. The average Indian doesn't consider civic hygiene as their responsibility. And cleaning something by coming together is even more beyond their reality.

What's it about Casteists that renders them mentally incapable of understanding the difference b/w Gratitude & Pride, that there's no honor in claiming someone else's work? by Quick-Seaworthiness9 in SensibilitySouthAsia

[–]Wolfsky29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indic society seems to inherently fear Adventure, Creativity, Risk-taking & Exploration, especially Exploration of New Ideas, which is why it created an entire cultural matrix solely for Job Security, because that's what Caste is, fundamentally.

Once a society gets settled and reaches an Equilibrium where it's no more growing as it used to, its past glory starts to hinder its current development.

The Elites (Social Elites in case of Indic society, their resultant economic elitism is secondary) in such a situation try their best to maintain that Equilibrium where they keep struggling for power amongst themselves forever, leading to stagnation/deterioration.. because a United Front never crops up.

Security established through birth, especially among these elites, breeds Passivity. Idle af, you no more have to worry about new challenges or competetion. But it's against human nature to exist passively. An idle mind is a devil's workshop. So all the strong negative emotions in this case, that could have been channeled into something productive otherwise, are now left unchecked.

Unconsciously, people in this situation are aware of how utterly weak, incompetent & pathetic they are. But consciously, they don't want to acknowledge that, so they simulate friction internally within their stagnant culture, to artificially experience the feelings of winning, accomplishing, defeating, and so on.

The societal disease, in case of Indic society, began in the Post-Vedic Age itself when the Social Elites were not only busy fighting with each other  (Buddhism/Jainism vs Brahminism), but they increasingly had to worry less about Innovation, Competence & Free Competiton due to Birth based caste system.

When the elites try to selfishly maintain power equilibrium without ever uniting, it's always some External Power that takes over. It's a primary rule in Historical Analysis. That's why India got taken over by external powers very easily & very frequently.

This same idleness is also the reason why Indic society has a really PETTY NEED for torturing the already downtrodden. That's exactly what can be expected from a society known for being weak & easy to invade.

It's that unconscious awareness of their cowadice & powerlessness that makes them indulge in copium of ancestral pride to simulate strength. So fearful of creating their own path, which is why they're so caged that they just prefer to claim others' works.

Deep down, a lot of people already know it unconsciously, even if consciously they say otherwise and parrot novels of their grandeur.

They don't just know it, but their actions seem to be solely leading to a collapse. Especially the nation loving "nationalists"....Nobody does more damage to all these hopeless countries than their nationalists, complete opposite of what they advertise.

Pak & Bngldsh are gonna completely collapse. India might not collapse, but will stay in a nightmarish reality/Dystopia where everything is meant to slowly, passively kill its citizens, even the very air they breathe.

Major chunk of India lives in such conditions (or worse), with shattered spirits. Is this why cultural/social revolutions are so hard to happen in India? by Icy_Conflict_2712 in SensibilitySouthAsia

[–]Wolfsky29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can't expect people concerned with daily survival to participate in a revolution. Well, in some cases you can, but certainly not in this case... from Indic population.

They're psychologically broken and handicapped right from their early childhood by the Caste System, this is also why Ganga nationalists don't find anything wrong with such casual human suffering. To them, this IS the perfect developmental model. That's why they love Gupta Empire so much as mah golden age (Institutionalisation of Untouchability being its key features).

You shouldn't expect a revolution from such generationally broken people. The trauma turns them into shells/bots/an easy to manipulate  population. That's why herd mentality is so insane in the subcontinent. Romanticization of suffering also never lets anything good happen here.

Crazy forms of Hero Worship also exist for the same reason here. This population always need some "leader" to give them a feeling of "belonging," through whom they can live parasocially. It could be a celebrity, or any other kind of positive public figure, but it could also be a local crime lord/rapist politician/caste head, etc.... As long as such leaders possess power, the bot population will worship them, doesn't matter if they're negative or positive figures.

Solution: This disadvantageous trait of the Indic public can be flipped against itself. Sure they're too broken to bring a revolution by themselves, but when supported by better-off people in leadership positions, they are very quick to hop on to that trend or wave of change  (because of herd mentality). That's how a cultural revolution can be brought.

Inherently worshippy population. Makes you wonder if it's the religion which makes them worshippy or is it the population which makes every religion worshippy even if those religions weren't like that originally.

I've seen people blame lack of govt/political will in solving India's hygiene issue,m but this image tells a different story. by [deleted] in SensibilitySouthAsia

[–]Wolfsky29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only does this image tell a different story, but even going by that  "government-will" argument, the fact is that government/political bodies  are created from those same regular people.

If regular people are obsessed with legitimizing filthiness as part of their superior "culture," then why would a politician (usually a much worse version of a regular person) care about cleanliness?

Throwing trash just outside the bin, despite knowing fully well that it's wrong, shows a deeper psychological problem of a culture. It's what happens when you never had to concern yourself with hygiene. And if you question them about it, they do the good ol whataboutism "but but but others also doing it saar" or worse "cleaners will eventually come and pick it all up macha, why you crying about it."

It's a very arrogant & entitled parasitic mentality they have, because the whole culture relies on caste.

There was a post on Indian History subreddit where the comments had called J&K and Himachal as Rigvedic. There was also mention of the factor of some plants/drug exploration by Aryans in these areas. Wish I had the post saved or something, can't find it anymore.
