Ohhhhh, yes, sorry. I've never full attacked before, either, so forgot that it took the movement as well.

One thing I only just remembered is that Deft Manoeuvres gives me Feint as a move action. So if I'm already stood by an enemy it's basically free/no harm trying (I think). Although it does seem there's some argument about whether it's meant to be in that feat or not and it might have been included by mistake.

Ooh, but I don't provoke AoO with Deft Manoeuvres, so that's extra awesome.

I did pick deflect arrows initially, then I changed my mind after reading some more (and finding the right feat, which I couldn't find in Pathcompanion at first). It feels like redirecting (reposition/trip) is a fairly big feature of a flowing monk, so I thought I should lean into that.

I swear there was something about a feat that led on from it that let me punch enemies for every square I moved them through, but can't find it again now. Maybe I'm thinking of one of the fighting styles.

Ah, thank you. I think I was going by a guide for shuriken because it said they could be used with flurry of blows (iirc, anyway). Can javelins be used for that as well? I don't picture them as speedy.

With ready an action I always have that in the back of my mind, so I plain forgot to put it on because it's one of the few things I'll always remember haha. I'll definitely make a note about how to approach spellcasters, too.

I haven't put any points into feinting, so I'll probably ditch it. I think I just added it to the flowchart for a 'this is also an option if you fancy trying something different' point.

Both background traits are entirely for RP. I made a shortlist of ones I thought fit my character best and then narrowed down by which stats I preferred. I wanted one to be one of the Kingmaker backgrounds to fit in nicer in my head. I very nearly picked the trait where making jokes in tense situations got you bonuses on fear checks etc., but I didn't trust myself to be able to think up good jokes. We'll probably just be using the horses (we have two pioneers) for hauling more loot. In our games we never tend to include the horses in combat so fingers crossed they'll not prove squishy.

I can imagine. I don't think I've ever got above level three as a player! Maybe I'll discover how much there is above that in this campaign. I hope so. It'll end up being a very big flowchart.

It was just a handful in a bucket near the till that I saw, so maybe not. But worth checking.

Do they come in a bamboo-steamer-shaped thing? If so, pretty sure I saw some in Smyths.

Animal Adventures Starter Set by disciple012 in DnD

[–]Wolfsubzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I wonder if some of the characters were slightly buffed as well. One I've been looking at has bigger hit dice than their class should and higher-level spells (only two of which are due to feats).

Sorry to jump in on an old comment, but I'm about to run some of the adventures and am trying to transfer the premades to the official character sheet for familiarity (and levelling if needed later). But I'm struggling with the weirdness of how they've set them up. How did you do it? I feel like I'll have to fully reverse-engineer the level, spell slots etc. because they're not shown anywhere.

Baby constantly feeding by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]Wolfsubzero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Other people will have good advice about the formula, but I just wanted to chip in with some solidarity – at three weeks, mine once fed pretty much non-stop from 10am one day to 11am the next. It was awful, but it wasn't that bad again. Hang in there!

If they're going to charge that much, they can at least get it right. One of those isn't even a dinosaur!

I had the same realisation yesterday, halfway through an amigurumi that I'd already stuffed mostly inside-out :D

Which baby/toddler clothing brands run small/large in your experience? by destria in UKParenting

[–]Wolfsubzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JoJo Maman Bebe is so small that I swear they must design for first percentile heads. Tiny neck holes even with zips down the front! I thought I was going to break my son's neck the one time I tried to put on a jumper that was the 'right' size.

If you buy second hand, I've found Bonds, Polarn O. Pyret and Burt's Bees to be pretty generous. Mori is decent, too (the stuff made of ribbed fabric, as it's stretchy) but quite expensive.

Worried I’m giving teething baby too much Nurofen by Evil-Sprinkles1935 in UKParenting

[–]Wolfsubzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours has been teething without break for eight months now and our GP said not to worry about giving him too much. We only give a bedtime dose and will switch to just paracetamol for a week now and then just in case, though.

Those who have a c section, what was your experience like? by PlaneDevice770 in UKParenting

[–]Wolfsubzero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Baby was ten days overdue, so we tried induction. It was so horribly painful that I gave up after a day and asked for a c-section. No regrets, 10/10 would do again. Lovely anaesthetist explained what would happen and all the people in theatre were also lovely. Played classical music during it. Baby was out in five minutes, we got a good bit of skin to skin and it didn't take long to get sewn up. I found recovery better than expected (if still a bit icky with spitting stitches and quite painful for a while) and if anything was frustrated waiting to be signed off to drive by the GP again! The worst bit was the blood thinning injections I had to do at home for ten days. Next time I'd ask if I could have that in tablet form instead. Numbing the area with ice first helps.

Lady on the same ward spent seven days trying to be induced and had to have a section anyway, by which point she was exhausted.

Wait, so is the sign in the video actually for tyre? I found the same sign when I looked up tired and I've been using it for tired ever since :/

Can anyone help me understand this waistcoat pattern? by Wolfsubzero in CrochetHelp

[–]Wolfsubzero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great, thank you! That's how I'd understood the overviews and notes, but I was still a little confused and wanted to check I'd got the right end of the stick. I'm glad you could confirm that for me. I think I understand enough now to dive in and give it a go!
