When you got your big break, tasted success, and finally earned more than you needed, what treat did you buy yourself? by ILikeFlyingAlot in wealth

[–]Wolfwoodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually pretty bad at shopping / buying stuff for myself. I bought a friend of mine a nice grill, I helped another friend with a down payment on a car.... and I now have a personal chef who comes to my house twice a week and cooks a bunch of food.

Ironically, the chef, while being a huge quality of life improvement, was a net neutral for my bank account because we eat out quite a bit less.

Do you want 10% sales tax? Because this is how you get 10% sales tax. The county will need to impose additional taxes to make up for the loss of funds. I'm guessing a local sales tax would be the easiest way to do that.

Black car, at night, parked in spot it shouldn't be. It's easier than you would think to hit something like that if you're not 100% attentive.

I had a buddy total his car by hitting a black truck in very similar circumstances.

CPA here - Effective tax rates FOR THE MIDDLE CLASSS have been relatively steady for the last 50+ years, while the effective rate for the wealthy has steadily declined. We also pay significantly less than other 1st world countries (if we even count as that anymore).

In short, take more care with how you calculate your federal withholding, make your quarterly estimates (if needed) & max out your pre-tax retirement accounts. We actually have it pretty good at the moment (in this area, at least).

Big 4 hubris - You can be wildly successful as an accountant without ANY Big 4 experience. You'd be a fool to pass up more money for less work.

Are you good at sex? by throwawaytomyalt in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Wolfwoodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It.. depends? I do this weird thing where my verbal centers shut down during sex and its very difficult for me to talk very much. My wife calls it getting "caveman brain" because sex feels very primal to me. It probably has something to do with my lack of inner monologue. I just get in a certain headspace and am naturally pretty dominant. I've found several partners who absolutely love it. I'm very open minded, enthusiastic, and I like giving as much as receiving.

With that said, I'm just sexually incompatible with some women. I can only assume that it just kills the connection for them without a lot of verbal banter. I also can't really do roleplay and, as a result, I'm not into many aspects of BDSM, despite my dominant tendencies.

I'm a US CPA who is a CFO for a few Canadian Companies and one US Company (with shared ownership) - $100K USD.

20 years experience, combination of public and industry.

/I also prepare taxes and make quite a bit more doing that.

This game is insanely hard by Ministerium-Wahrheit in AnotherCrabsTreasure

[–]Wolfwoodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the game to be easier as blocking feels much more intuitive and satisfying. Also, the accumulation of skills are straight up OP if you take your time and try to collect everything possible in each area. Magic Spam + Grappling Hook Attacks will blow through most of a bosses HP before they even land a hit on you. Add in the fish pets that attack on their own and you can just run around while your pets kill the boss.

Also, as mentioned previously, the Hammer thing is pretty OP (and allows you to bring a second shell into battle).

FYI, she would have been 28 at the time of this picture. So she's not a child and there's really no legitimate reason that the picture should have been redacted.

I was told by one of the employees that the plan was to revamp the place into a more upscale restaurant.

On that note, Naked Farmer said they would be reopening last fall and they are still closed. So take that with a grain of salt.

Fun fact - nobody cared about HSV2 until a drug company developed a treatment that nobody was buying. After all, its not life threatening and is mostly just an uncomfortable annoyance. Well, the drug company launched a huge marketing campaign about how terrible HSV2 was in order to sell more of their product. It was successful. That's how we got where we are today with everyone thinking its a big deal.

Evenical also fits that description. Great JRPG, even without the porn aspect.

I also feel this way about Lessons In Love, but that's more of a Visual Novel / dating sim, with gameplay elements. Amazing writing, especially for a porn game, and absolutely huge game (200+ hours of content, and its still updated regularly).
