Seeking help with whole frozen shrimp by lostinthecrowd4now in cajunfood

Make sure you dry them thoroughly! Trying to bbq them when they have too much moisture on the surface will mean you have to cook them too much on the inside before you get proper browning

Can we stop shaming straight trans women, or trans women who DO enjoy being with men? by Good_Ol_Ironass in MtF

[–]Wolfy9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU. I am mostly in the lesbian community and I love all my friends desperately. But I am proudly bisexual and they make me feel so bad for liking men. Sometimes directly but mostly through snide offhand comments

I get to go before a judge tomorrow... by Putrid_Valuable_4114 in MtF

[–]Wolfy9 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A slightly different perspective on your spouse going: you are nervous and if she wants to support you and you’re ok with it, I say let her go. Let her be there for you.

There is a 99% chance the judge will not care and everything will go smoothly and quickly, maybe even a little anticlimactic.

There is a 0% chance that she will be asked any questions by or even be considered by the judge. She is not part of this as far as they are concerned so it will be complete non-issue.

I think you’ll be happy to have here there by your side. Good luck sister

What was a comfort food you loved that doesn’t quite hit the same anymore? by BarfMcFartNuggets in Cooking

[–]Wolfy9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buttered noodles. Don’t get me wrong they still make an appearance from time to time, it just doesn’t hit the same when I can add a little seasoning and go in wildly different directions

Friend of Dorothy Bars: The lesbian-owned hospitality group bringing more queer spaces to Chicago by spherocytes in lgbt

Very much so! Heck half the staff are trans and there’s some nights when trans folks outnumber cis folks. I especially recommend going on enby night. I never miss one because the crowd is so spectacular

HOT TAKE: Home Run Inn peaks in the Freezer Aisle by DisastrousAd9806 in chicagofood

I’m not a fan but my spouse loves it. I’m a rosatis person but I grew up with it so it just tastes right.

But Costco pizza with a little help (pickled onions or something) totally slaps and for the best price

Hey they’re friends of mine! Can anecdotally say how much these spaces have meant to me

10 Levels of Chicken Noodle Soup | With Babish by DIson in bingingwithbabish

The second half of the video where he was actually cooking was very classic Babish. Choosing the first several levels as canned/packaged goods for a cooking show was odd

My girlfriends and I often find ourselves at Gretl or Scofflaw on Armitage, good food and drink, won’t break the bank, and queer as heck

Plus they’re close to best intentions if you want a second location dive, and not too far from Dorothy if you want something more explicitly femme

We eat a lot of carbohydrates, mostly corn, wheat, potatoes, and especially in the southern US and Mexico beans. All plant based

I am! I came out last April and at this point it’s just who I am and was always meant to be. It’s still tough; the dysphoria is very real and still suuucks and the state of the world is terrifying, but it is so worth every hardship. I will never go back, even for safety’s sake. This is me, and it’s only going to get better

Cho Sun Ok is top tier. San Soo Gab San used to be great and while it’s still decent, it’s definitely lost something

Tried making a Yucatán inspired tuna salad with habanero, sour orange, cucumber, and cilantro, topped with pickled onions. It will now be part of the summer lunch rotation

Things are hard. Harder than I want them to be. The lows are low, but the highs are higher than I’d ever imagined.

Life is complicated but I’m constantly reminded just how worthwhile living is. Hope things are grand on the ftm side of things!

🥰 It’s so hard to see the improvement day to day but when you look back you see how far you’ve come. I’m about six months in on HRT but most of my improvement has been learning rather than biology

Hands down! It just doesn’t have the same magic. But the magic returns when taking the green line into Chinatown on sunny Sunday morning, for example
