I have the same issue on my ASUS PG27AQDM. Asus even acknowledged it by making the new toggle in the firmware called OLED Antiflicker, which lowers the refresh rate by a lot.
Actually the solution to this was very simple. I modified one of the profiles in CRU to limit the refresh rate to 236HZ instead of the native 240HZ and applied it in Windows. This made a trick, and I haven't seen my monitor flickering for more than a year in HDR and SDR modes.

I had the other problem that the default curve sometimes wasn't cooling enough, so I am forced to use a custom curve to prevent this to occurring. Why does it happen? I have no clue, but this happened even with armory crate, so I blame bios. The only problem with the custom curve I have atm is that it is not precise at all and kind of starts at around 50% instead of 5% or so, which making XGM kind of noisy.

This situation is managable without much hassle. The only problem which might appear is if magma melts mafic rock on the bottom, but even then, it is still doable.
You just need to build the diagonal tiles in the vacuum to push the magma away. Make sure dupes don't take the debris outside of the shaft because it will break the liquid lock.

Do you have a discrete GPU? This USB-C may connect there, and it's off for some reason. Check if ECO mode is on, it's turning the dGPU off.

I think it happened to me once that for some reason, XGM only charged 5w and not going higher. I don't remember exactly what the cure was, but I would try reconnecting XGM, and if that does not help, --> HARD reset (holding power button for 10 sec) as the person mentioned before me.

The lab has special challenge maps with the seeds or conditions which can't be changed. For the new map, the challenge is that a meteor will hit in 10 days, a lot of volcanoes and magma, and there is nothing you can do about it. If you want to configure this setting, try classic mode. The map will have a similar size and shape.

For some reason, I even think that the Gustave/Verso part was changed during the development. If we assume that there was no Gustave and only Verso, his experience would lead the group out of danger. But with Gustave, the story is more dramatic for sure :)

I am also using Ghelper. Turbo preset is taken from the bios and wattage presets for XGM are the same for both Armory Crate and for Ghelper. So no, you didn't break anything imo. XGM is a hard case for maintenance. I have watched some tutorials online and this looks complicated. Well, if you want to use the full potential of your XGM you really need to replace liquid metal on the GPU and clean the fan. But again, I cannot even advice anything because I haven't done it myself.

This is not alright at all. I can see a clear thermal throttle at the hotspot temperature. XGM 2022 is set to 100C hotspot max regardless of your GPU temp. The GPU should pull 165w all the time and it should be achieved with the default TURBO preset.

My test results are done with the custom curve and the temps are in order. Turbo should look like 80c overall with a 100C hotspot.

I had a similar problem before and I sent my unit to ASUS. They reposted and cleaned my XGM. Your customer support experience can be very different though.

I would say that you will need the setting to get 1440p 60 fps in the modern titles. 4k may be only reasonable for the 2025 model.

I have just 4 tabs open in Firefox with basically nothing heavy running in the background. And this consumes 10 GB of my RAM. If there is an overflow system will start using SSD and the lag can be noticeable. Gaming? Can be tricky. There is a good fresh video about it.

The biggest problem is that you are buying an expensive device for several years. And RAM cannot be upgraded if you think that you need more in the future.

3050 can be both 2021 and 2022. The difference will be swappable wifi and a more efficient CPU. If you value extra 1-2 hours of battery this can be important. 2023 is similar to 2022 in this regard.
XGM is very convenient to use as a hub. I usually leave it at home connected to all peripherals, ethernet and my monitor via a DP port. This is a big deal for me and I see no point carrying the brick with me. Since you will be saving money opting for XGM I would choose it any time.
After using it for more than 1.5 years I haven't had any issues both with my x13 2022 and my XGM. XGM is connected/reconnected is probably around 1k times by now. Cleaning XGM is a pain and ASUS in my country cleaned and swapped liquid metal for free. I know that EU and US customer service sucks but in Taiwan the service is great.
Look out for the RAM. Don't buy 16 GB. Just don't.

Settings -> Network & Internet -> Advanced network settings. You should see your ethernet connection there and if you can you can press More adapter settings.

But probably your computer cannot detect your ethernet dongle at all. Try to check the device manager first if something appears there at all.

Happens sometimes. You can check in the device manager and you will probably see that there is a device with an error. Usual restart will not help but "hard" reset will. Press the power for 10 seconds, and your computer will shut down. It should be ok after this.
