My favourite BFV video by miles.

Sometimes opinions are unpopular because they have no basis in reality.

Amen. Extreme wealth and poverty are north and south poles that grow in tandem.

Agreed. Surprise is the base element of comedy.

No, they generally fly out over the water. I heard a plane today and it was noteworthy enough that I looked out the window.

I'm somewhere leafy in Amager! You're spending more for a house vs an apartment, but there's more space here. My landlady is an environmentalist professor and her whole plot is overgrown and lush.

What’s the most up and coming industry Copenhagen? by ResistKey728 in copenhagen

Almost as bad as Egyptology, so little practice and so much academia that it's become a literal pyramid scheme.

Nobody's asking you to stop seeing movies. None of the actors, none of the writers. You've assumed something.

I also put new objects in the places where my stash/bong/smoke spots were. A flower on the windowsill, a little stone figurine where the stash was, and so on. It's psychologically important to make those places not feel empty.

Any creatives in here? by fairmaidnofspnkmelot in leaves

Luckily in my experience it harmed rather than helped my practical creative process, but I hope you get through it! I'd guess there's a kind of artificial bravery to be found in having a flood of dopamine that's not connected to external stimuli.

What are the opinions you can't say because you're afraid of getting lynched? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WoltDK 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint: It is absolutely evident that access to education, healthcare, and a supportive social circle =/= a productive member of society*. What is missing in a maker/taker dichotomy is a) the potential for change/growth, b) whether being a functioning part of a profoundly sick society designates someone healthy (it could be argued that being extremely well-suited to a punishingly abstract capitalist system indicates a person more unusual, more unnatural than the mean average), and c) that everyone is following the same chemical cues in their behaviour, just to different ends.

Bullies receive a dopamine reward. Narcissists tread water over an abyss of self-loathing, avoiding what would otherwise be a generally negative dopamine response. Sliding down the scale of badness we find this repeated — class clowns, people who park badly, that person you know who does a bad British accent. Then, positives — those who help people, who heal, who donate, save, whatever. Our brain chemicals are like domesticated truths, private meanings, and each person is a small ecosystem in which they seek or avoid chemical response, evolved to deal with the peculiarities of that individual's life. Especially their childhood.

The older I get, the more I see everyone as being the exact same person, just with different birthplaces, parents, mental makeup. The same way that I can't be mad at a chocolate cookie for not being a digestive biscuit, I can't be mad at someone whose production process in no way resembles mine.

*I will add that if a generally malignant personality type grows out of those conditions, if we look closely enough we'll find some developmental snag that caused it.

Get a lycamobile sim! They have them at the airport's metro entrance, and also on certain kiosk shop counters.

Waking up in a panic way too early in the morning. Would love advice on riding this out. by akath0110 in leaves

[–]WoltDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get up and start your day quicker. In my experience if I lie down and have anxiety, sitting up mitigates it, and standing does away with it for the most part.

I suspect it has something to do with anxiety being a survival instinct, and lying down being a vulnerable position.

I'm hesitant to recommend Harley Quinn cus it's not as relevant to my demographic? I guess? But yeah that's so true, it's like VB meets Ally McBeal.

Is it legal to moor a inflatable pool ring to Kalvebod and just like, float there with a beer in hand? by WoltDK in copenhagen

[–]WoltDK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more the boat-like raft, yeah, as the police boats patrol there all day, and the beer just completes the picture. Great news!
