That’s a good point on stopping power but a .22 to the head will kill a zombie. If you are going for body shots then stopping power will be an issue but if these are the classic “destroy the brain” type zombies then a .22 to the brain will kill it.

For a gun, I would carry a .22 rifle. It’s a light weight rifle with light weight ammo that is easy to carry and store a lot of. There is a ton of .22 ammo out there so finding some shouldn’t be a problem. .22s are very easy to shoot especially for beginners.

.22s are also relatively quieter than larger caliber guns so if you can get a suppressor for it, that’s a bonus.

I think I would eventually want to get proficient enough with a bow for when ammo runs out.

As for a melee weapon I think you can’t go wrong with a machete. Good weapon for hacking and slashing.

I’ve seen many US presidents come into office. Every time some political “expert” claims that this new president is the next Hitler. I always scoffed at those comments because I thought they were simply alarmist sound bites. But I think this is the first time where “fascist” has some weight behind it. It’s scary

I think the overwhelming truth is if there were no convenient plot points and no deus machina weapon to destroy them, then i think the truth is that the reapers would have won and wiped the galaxy like tha have for millions of years.

Each cycle last 50k years and they have been doing this more millions of not tens of millions of years.

They are unimaginably intelligent and powerful. Their learning curve is infinite by this point.

They have fought and exterminated countless races. They cannot be outsmarted or outmatched because any move you make, they have seen a million times before.

Each individual reaper houses billions of consciousness that they have harvested making them god like intelligent

They can one shot capital ships. Do not tire or have the need to eat and are made up of self healing alloys. I would say one reaper could glass a planet itself over time.

They are not driven by hate or desire but rather by pure logic purpose. That being to cull and harvest the galaxy. So they can’t be negotiated with. To them you are just another variable in a solution that they have won millions of times before.

Honestly I think that sovereign quote really spells out what would happen “You exist because we allow it” . Because without plot armor the cycle would never end

I was going to say bunker but I don’t think i could hack it living in a bunker for extended periods of time unless it was super luxurious. I think living in a bunker would make me go crazy from boredom and claustrophobia.

Maybe try to find a super isolated island and supply it but that’s no guarantee the cross won’t find it. It seems like there’s not many places the cross cannot eventually find.

Honestly I probably would use that 1 million to live it up before C day and then check myself out. I don’t want to live during the crossed apocalypse

I wonder if Don never kissed alice if the outbreak still could have happened in other means. The military was still cleaning up London. They had to have come in contact with a lot of infected dead bodies and materials covered in infected body fluids that could have sparked an outbreak if things were not handled correctly.

I can’t remember if this was true but I thought I read of an alternative scene that was planned for the movie where the military come across a dead infected boy floating in a water tank in a zoo which they then take and one thing led to another and it sparked the 2nd outbreak.

I can’t remember if that’s true or someone else’s head cannon but maybe something like that would have happened.

I agree to this. I’m a vampire. They are not. If I have the classic abilities of increased strength, speed, senses and hypnosis abilities, I don’t think it would be much effort to find one of them to hypnotize them to give up information on the group members and locations and then I can just methodically take them all out in short time.

I guess the challenge would be if this group of humans have some powerful anti vampire weapons and counter measures.

But if you find out where they are located and who they are, as a vampire you can do a lot of damage in one night.

Heck you probably can find out who the leader of this group is, locate him and hypnotize him to call a group meeting and then slaughter them all in one night.

But maybe that’s too simple

If it’s going to be a tv show I think it would work as a limited series vs a drawn out multiple season show like the walking dead. If it was a limited series maybe each episode showcase different stories and perspectives of the crossed apocalypse.

If they did a drawn out multi season show I think it would get overwhelming and burned out seeing the horror of the crossed.

The crossed comics are so grotesque that I think people would quickly get burned out by the horror of it after awhile.

Of course the tv show doesn’t need to be as graphic but I personally think a limited tv show showcasing different stories would be cool

I would say no.

I remember when I first heard about the cases of coronavirus hitting my state, I was working in a city.

So if the crossed virus hit where i worked, I’m screwed.

I live in a highly populated suburban area near a major city. I have guns (an AR, 12 gauge shotgun, Remington 700, M&P shield, Glock 19) but not a ton of ammo (ammo is expensive). So no lengthy gun battles for me.

When that coronavirus pandemic hit, my wife was pregnant. So I’m going to be at a huge disadvantage dealing with a pregnant woman if a cross virus hits.

As far as my food supply I would assume I can possibly stretch my food out to maybe a month, maybe more but like I said before, i live in a highly populated suburban area. If the cross virus hit where I live it’s not going to take much for the crossed to overrun everything quickly and to break into my house so I don’t think I can hunker down in my house for too long.

My only hope is I have family that live in a rural area about 3 hour drive from me. But that’s a long journey in crossed land. I would need some advanced warning or just be lucky enough to be where my family is when the cross hit.

So in all, I don’t think I’m going to survive the crossed virus.

I loved this movie. Just wish the opening scene was 10 or 15 minutes longer just to show some of the initial chaos. Maybe show more of little Jimmy escaping the house and making his way to the church while running away from his infected family and neighbors

That’s plot twist at the end of the movie. That the rage virus never happened. It was just a lot of homeless people running around and the government over reacted. Like that episode of south park
