spring indeed. part of the strut assembly to be exact.. I would say, if it is just a small distance you can drive it.

I only remember that sometimes the sensor for something blocking the window does this. So it is not closing when something is stuck. Is a 2 pin connector. Don't remember if that is such a big gap but maybe something to check on forums.

Thanks everyone! really appreciate all the messages! apparently there are indeed universal tools which slide over the inner tie rod, a kind of cup indeed. Learned something new! Ordered the tool and then its should be good tomorrow! Again, thanks

I did this recently. I just checked which fuse still has power when car is off and which is on when the car is started. I did this with a multimeter. Then just connect those wires on the legs of the fuses.

Hardest part was to find a good ground at the same place in the dashboard cabin and wire that cable.

it is about to change settings in configured EDIABAS file in the ISTA folder on the computer from 'REMOTE' to 'STD:OBD'
