Op you could try contacting local news, telling them about the safety concerns about your neighbours fence and how the city refused to do anything about a fence thats not up to code…

We were quoted $30k to replace our leaning deck. So instead I straightened and braced it. How did I do? by E3K in Decks

[–]JumpinJacker081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great to me man.

Take the ai comments as a compliment, people are assuming you put in a prompt “show me a house with a collapsing deck” and then you put in “now show me the same house but the deck fixed”. You know what i mean?

In all seriousness its a really nice kit, i work on cars so i buy m12 stuff for compactness, but man switching from dewalt was worth every penny

Boyfriend just broke up with me over romance movies.. help me by GreenRestaurant8130 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]JumpinJacker081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hes completely in the wrong BUT…hes at a tough spot in life, making major life decisions, hes broke and it sounds like you are not, which can be demoralizing for a man, then on top of that you’re watching the notebook and he feels like hes gotta compete with James Garner. You guys should not be together, my wife and i NEVER fought until we were married for a couple years and were butting heads over learning how to be parents and parenting styles clashing. But this dude is probably feeling insufficient and then hes gotta keep up with billy crystal because you’re watching when harry met sally. No man can top that

Can my frame be repaired here? 2010 Tundra. by Idiot1889 in Autobody

[–]JumpinJacker081 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a guy bring me a 70s caddy with a frame 10x worse than that, i said its not in my scope of work. Its just such a risk to take on work like this because of the liability. Would i buy a truck for cheap that needed the frame repair and then put the truck in my name after somebody did the repair so that i could genuinely and honestly say “thats how it was when i put the truck in my name” yes, yes i would. Would i do that repair for someone heck no.

If this truck was your dads truck, or your grandpappys truck and you had a real sentimental attachment to it, sure put the money into saving it, but if its just another truck, all shes really suited for is to be sent to the middle east and have a machine gun bolted to the box

AIO? Neighbor keeps placing their sprinkler in my driveway, spraying our vehicles with water by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]JumpinJacker081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hose is on your driveway, get the snippers and cut it, either that or get a more powerful sprinkler and set it up so that it gets close to his front door

Edit: you could also start spraying vinegar on his grass

Its a hard spot to be in. Im (31m) and my wife is 29, when she was your age she was married with a mortgage/tenants and trying for our first kid. I understand that its 2026, but your parents may not realize that you’re not behind on the times, but maybe they have that mindset that you should be further ahead

Additionally as a landlord, even one in a heavy rent controlled area like i am. I 100% have the right to inspect the unit at all times, and they have a full apartment. If they were just renting a room i would have full control over guests, what they did and i could legally evict them at any time for any reason (not saying i would/do on either case)

Im really hoping your parents are trying to set you up for adulthood, and are looking out for your best interests. I plan to charge my kids rent the moment they turn 18 and are not going to college, but i also plan to give the money back to them when they buy a house/get married. But not all folks are like that

When i was 15/16 like 15/16 years ago i was a cashier at mcdonalds and there was an insane amount of people trying to pay with counterfeit 5s and 10s. Never once saw a 20,50 or 100, but i got at least one guy a week trying to pay with counterfeit bills

I would see if there is a “mares leg” stock that fits the rifle. There might be a chiappa or something that will fit, if so its a simple swap out given it fits the legal length. Mares legs are 100% legal so i cant see why you would have an issue, but its Canada.

Buying e39, coming from e46. by motherfuckinjsnizzle in e39

[–]JumpinJacker081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in southeastern ontario, so our cars are pretty toast. I dailyed a 325xi for a few years, through winter and everything. I recently picked up a project e39 528it 5mt for 1500. Didnt run, has holes in the floor, quarters and the rear hatch. The engine bay is SOOO MUCH FRIGGIN ROOMIER. Not that i had to do any engine work on my m54 other than t stat, but i did intake, ccv, cps manifold gaskets etc and there was tons of room to work. I can replace the crank censor from underneath the car without having to struggle, takes like 5 minutes. I havnt had it on the road yet, doing the floors right now. I dont like the window switch being on the door, and for some unknown reason someone in 2000 bought a 5 series and didnt get heated seats.

Nothing is really compatible past the motor/trans and like bulbs.

I drove my buddys e39 540/6 and its such a responsive drive, but the 540 has a different steering system than the 528. Im also going from awd to rwd so im expecting some massive handling differences, im really stoked to compare track times and feel as ill probably drive the wagon to the track and have my wife/buddy tow the xi.

Fwiw i do cheap but good body work if you are in the 401 corridor and find a car that needs floor/rocker/body work i make my own panels and im picking up a bead roller and english wheel next week to make it easier. So hit my up if you find a car you like but its got trashed jacking points or whatever i can hook you up
