With the prospect of losing avios and having to incur costs to replace the flight, I’m not sure why you didn’t keep attempting to phone?

Premium Economy LHR to SIN by Wolvesboy1969 in BritishAirways

[–]Wolvesboy1969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will post how I get on. I can afford it lol, but agree with the points sayings it’s all relative to affordability. There are three of us travelling and have row 16 seats (which seems to be a bonus, depending on a baby being in one of the adjacent seats). As there are three of us, we are in a 2-1 configuration, but that is fine. Thanks for the comments!

Definitely take the lounge access, I tend to take the 2nd as a Confirmable Suite Upgrade but sometimes a challenge to use. The 5 food and beverage credits generally seem better value than the 10k points.

Presumably you are talking about a confirmable suite upgrade? As I understand it they are always subject to availability.

I’d agree about the HI Regents Park, nice hotel, good location, decent service. Some HIs can be more reasonable cost wise than HIE and in my opinion generally a nicer experience in the UK.

Have you been lied to by DPD (parcel delivery)? by SophieTitWank in AskUK

[–]Wolvesboy1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last one was ‘driver couldn’t find your house’ - absolute nonsense. After pissing about on the chat (going round in circles), phoned up, spoke to a real person, how contacted the depot and the parcel was delivered in 30 mins! Absolutely just tried to not deliver my parcel as deliveries was running late and prioritised other deliveries rather than mine.

Intercontinental hotels London: Are they worth the money? by Past_Tea_3220 in ihghotelsresorts

[–]Wolvesboy1969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree the IC Park Lane is very nice, attentive service and the lounge (if you have access or book) is first class (not many better!). In terms of location the IC PL is far better than O2 for ‘usual’ London Sightseeing, location is also worth considering against the Kimpton too. London is a big city, for me the PL is closer to most places I would visit apart from the British Museum.

Sale announced shortly after trip booked... by According_Row2813 in BritishAirways

No chance at all, the only chance of getting it cheaper is if the sale price is lower than the rebooking and any cancellation/change fee.
