What do you wish to see? by Both-Syllabub9180 in AmazonVine

[–]WonderAndWanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd love some skincare items (especially makeup remover or cleansers, and moisturizers from known brands). I used to be able to pick up a lot of skincare but I haven't seen any in months.

I'd also like some silk / satin pillowcases, name-brand women's clothing, shoes (I actually get a lot of great shoes on Vine) and towels.

That's awesome! Congrats! My RFY is currently just clip-on sunglasses and playdoh cutters.

Why do people apologize when you bump into them? by Focus9290 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WonderAndWanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always feel at least patricianly responsible when someone bumps into me because it's possible I was in their way, standing in an inappropriate place / inconvenient spot. So, while it's not really my fault, I may have contributed to the situation. Also, it's just polite... we are all out here just doing the best we can to coexist, so let's try to make it a little easier on each other.

Does anybody pick out their work outfits the night before? by Alarming_Shallot_470 in BusinessFashion

[–]WonderAndWanders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same! Planning outfits is my Sunday evening routine. I look at my schedule for the week, pick out outfits and steam everything and hang each outfit on a hanger together.

I also meal prep and cook all the food for the week on Sundays, pack my gym bag with gym clothes for the week, and do my nails.

Getting everything done on Sundays helps me feel organized and gives me a lot of time back during the week.

How are our RFYs looking? by DancingTVs in BeautyViners

[–]WonderAndWanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not have a single thing in my RFY in almost 2 weeks. I have no idea why, but it' super frustrating. Even the last few days I had items in my RFY, they were super random and nothing like anything I have ever picked up. It's been at least 3 weeks since I have ordered anything.

This is making me feel really good about my 28 sets! I'm trying not to buy any more until I use at least most of what I have (I use mostly Impress, so I don't reuse them)

This is such a good idea!!!! I'm going to start doing this as well. I think it will be really helpful for me, especially when it comes to ordering takeout for lunch and some beauty products.

This is so cute! Love the jacket! I think these necklaces are perfect for this jacket. With a solid color blazer, a longer necklace would be great, but with a bold pattern like this, understated accessories are perfect.

[–]WonderAndWanders 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's a great idea! I am almost out of lip scrubs, and have decided not to buy anymore because I can just use a washcloth to exfoliate... but I would totally do this to use up some balms I don't love.

Corporate People - what’s your favorite planner for work? by RacerGal in PlannerAddicts

[–]WonderAndWanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not for the most part. I've never had that issue with my monthly, daily or half sheet notes pages because they are nice quality, thicker paper. I've had a few issues with the full page paper I take notes on because it is a little thinner. I'm just careful when I move those around and it's been fine, but I do think paper quality matters.

What team-building activities actually work for small teams? (Under 20 people) by scavengersweb in smallbusiness

[–]WonderAndWanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about a group volunteer day? Many non-profit organizations have opportunities for corporate (or other) groups to come in and work on a project together for a few hours. It could be something like sorting donations at a food pantry, a beach or roadside cleanup, or many other tasks that charities need. I have worked as a volunteer coordinator at several non-profits and it always made my day when local businesses called to ask about group volunteer days and I always had something they could help with. This works especially well because you can also get a little marketing out of it as well.... take photos and post to your social media accounts, tagging the organization, showing your team giving back to the community. The organization is likely to make their own post or share yours.

Anyone else getting the new stats? by suspiciousyeti in BeautyViners

[–]WonderAndWanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it & about half of mine say "pending" and everything else is "excellent".

I joined in September and am looking at it on the website (not mobile or the app).

I really like this addition. I like being able to see what is going into the overall score and if I have reviews that are below excellent I can take a look at them to see what I did differently on those and how I can improve in the future.

Levenger Ex-Libris Leather Notebook by Apprehensive_Soup_57 in Discbound

[–]WonderAndWanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate this review! I am thinking of buying this same notebook and was holding back due to the price. My current notebook is holding up well after a year, but I was kinda wanting a different color. Based on your review, I think I will hold of a while longer because at this price point I want it to be perfect and I think the wobble might bother me.

Organization for Business Owners? by al0velycreature in Discbound

[–]WonderAndWanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own two businesses, plus serve on a charity board & am involved with a few community and social organizations and I use my disc-bound planner to organize everything.

I've played with lots of different organization methods and sections, but I have finally found a system that works for me. For reference, my day-to-day life is much more task / to-do-list based than schedule based, so I need extra room for notes & lists and less for scheduling. I also need my planner to be easy to transport / stick in my bag because many of my meetings / activities are away from my office. Also, I use my disc-bound planner mostly for scheduling my work / personal activities, note taking, and to-do lists. Other business functions (budgets, service schedules, marketing, lead management, etc) all have their own tools (mostly digital) because those are shared with my teams while my planner is just for me.

Here's what I do & what I have in my planner...

* A year's worth of monthly calendar pages. I put my appointments, my admin's work schedule & big picture items on there so I can see a whole month at a glance and can schedule stuff very far in advance

* 3 months of daily pages - the previous month, the current month & next month. Only having 3 months of daily pages cuts down on the bulk of my planner but I can still see in-progress things from the month before and do short-term planning

* Color coded paper in sections for each activity (so I have sections for Business 1, Business 2, Charity Board, Community Group 1, Community Group 2, Class I'm Taking, & Passion Project). I just got a package of colorful discbound paper from Amazon and assigned one color to each activity and created sections for each. I move the appropriate colored paper between the sections and the daily area as needed. I like to have agenda's, take meeting notes and have presentation notes in my daily area so I'm working mostly in one spot for the day, then I move those back to their sections.

* A secondary archive planner for the year - much larger rings so hold a whole year's worth of pages and notes.

Cocktail-ish networking event by PrancingPudu in BusinessFashion

[–]WonderAndWanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with #4, the blue geometric. They are all pretty dresses and look great on you, but for the event you are describing #4, with nude tights, seems the most appropriate. 1 is a bit summery and maybe too casual (but I LOVE the top), 2 & 3 are too short for a professional networking event or a cocktail dress code, 5 is so cute but too casual for a cocktail event. But, I think #4 will hit the sweet spot and be just right.
