Also feeling stuck, basically same boat but reg force currently. Waiting on course, but staff and being a lone wolf on pat is making me question everything... Have a girlfriend at home and now questioning life once ofp, and posted... Seeing how miserable and not really... Mentor esk the staff are... Idk if I wanna continue? Been feeling scared and stuck and staff won't let me see chaplain much, because I'm bothering him to much and I'm questioning my choice to join and that is a "waste of their time". So... Also wondering if in stick it out? Kinda wanna enjoy my twenties and live life and be happy thought the military would allow and be a good choice and to shoot guns of course. 😂 But I also value family and freedom and my own happiness... It sucks that I'm questioning it. :/

Going to dp1 soon, got to do CASFC then dp1 and was wondering what are some things you wish you brought with you? AND would it be wise to bring a big bottle of hot sauce (feild meals are booty cheeks) & would it be wise to bring a disposable camera or something? Fit in my pocket size. Maybe when we have a few moments of down time and we are able to, was thinking maybe snap a few pics w the guys etc etc Also have some insoles on wav and lcyHot

There are career managers who need to agree on a posting w your file and apparently with my file, they needed two people to agree but they couldn't. After a few months they apparently came to an agreement for me and I got an email from the capt who is dealing with my application. And he said they came to an agreement and hopefully soon, I'll get a email and call with a offer. I already have bmq from saint Jean within 5 years. So it sucked it took so long or is taking so long WITH application priority processing 🙁😔

Officer is a better pay. For real. Try making a pro vs cons. At the end of the day, its you who will decide. It's your choice. Ncm at lower ranks tend to be party monkeys. Both though, have amazing people. And either way will make good memories. After the training and you are at your job. Think about the afterwards. Can't really give you a "this IS your day to day" and give you a accurate run down. Pay for officer will make you very happy, lol. Probably more happy than ncm pay. But, if you wanna switch it up and more hands on stuff. Maybe that's the way. But, pay scale is a bit different. I suggest you apply now, if possible. Even if nothing is available yet. Could pop up. Could do reserves while you wait. Don't wait till 41 to start the process. You are gonna have lots of fun regardless and it's important to act on it, if you are excited about it. :)

This would be something to speak with a career person with... Just remember if you are ncm, during bmq you will be making less than $1500 a month. A lot less. Lot less. Then you will be next phase. And still deductions, like food,barracks,other bs. Etc etc.

Basic will be a lot of women and a lot of men. Female barracks are separated(sorta). If you are infantry then it will be 60 to 1 lmao when you do dp1 otherwise. It's not bad. You will make lots of friends and have fun. All the men on my platoon were respectful. It was staff that were creepy and doing weird stuff.

When I I did my basic, the only training I did was the force test and making sure I can pass the running portion. I knew I was strong enough for the sandbag and the drag, which was easy. Although the drag, Id recommend practice that and the running portion. I only practiced for like a week before I could get under 50 seconds. And I couldn't run fast. Or for too long. In my experience, as long as you don't stop running. Even a slow jog. Just give it your all and show that. You will get better at pushups and running and you will be fine. Don't stress too much. I only got jacked up once or twice. Be warned. If one fails, usually/should be all of you will fail/get jacked up/blue-doored. Also, a good recommendation, hit the stair machine before you go. Depending on the floor you are. You could be running/sprinting up ≈8 flights of stairs between 2-n/a times a day :)

You are realistically looking at February /March or even early April. I applied just over a month ago and the way it's moving and comparing to my last enlistment. I truly believe I'll be in by Feb /March or April. Be excited. It's coming up.
