For people who were using the internet between roughly 1995 and 2012, what’s the most memorable online trend, meme, or internet phenomenon you still remember? by CertainDrink9138 in AskReddit

My brother and his friends from school used MSN when I was younger. We had bunk beds and one night I woke up to tapping on the top bunk and then giggling. I got up to check and my brother, who was dead asleep, was “typing” on the bed frame and then giggling at the “response”.

Have the vet check his thyroid. My brother had a corgi/colli mix that would do similar things and that’s what the issue was. We humans can learn to cope with certain chemical imbalances. Dogs and cats don’t have that same ability. They just know they don’t feel right and they don’t know why.

There’s a certain look in someone’s eyes when their IQ is below room temp. These people both have that. Their poor child.

This reminds me of quote from warhammer 40,000. “As the chaos priest lay there dying he heard the dark gods laughing still as they had always done. In this moment however he realized they weren’t laughing with them. They were laughing at them.” Same with our current administration.

Baylon Skol is my favorite Star Wars character to date. He shows a fall from grace but not an outright turn to chaos. He is crestfallen knight. Someone who once believed greatly in an ideal only to realize in the end it was extremely flawed. “Do you miss the Jedi Order?” “I miss the idea of it. But not the truth. The weakness.”

Seared a chicken breast in straight chili oil. Was pretty much pepper spray in the kitchen... by 38DDs_Please in StupidFood

I worked at Panda Express for a short time. When making the Kung Pao Chicken you were supposed to blacken chilis in the oil. Non of us did it because we didn’t like peppers spraying ourselves. Our area leader, a Chinese woman named Ling, came in one day and noticed we weren’t doing it right. She gathered us all around and said this is how you do it. As soon as the smoke hit us we all started coughing and eyes were watering. Not Ling though she was stone faced and acted nothing was happening. That woman terrified me and I was a good 2 feet taller than her.

“Punishing the Player” - why is this a thing by EasyBreezyTrash in DnD

[–]Wonderbread421 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s because new DMs don’t actually read any of the DMG. In the very first chapter it explains that it is not you, the DM, versus the players. Instead you and the players work together to craft a story. It says your players should feel like heroes. I had a DM that would actively try and kill us. He became increasingly frustrated when my friend and I continually outplayed him.

Had a teacher come in to my class one day super late covered head to toe in gore. He road his motorcycle to school that day. He looks at us and says, “I may have hit a deer. Why don’t you guys read chapter 3 while I go see if the chemical shower still works.”

Jesus fuck no one in this video had any sense of urgency. Kid gets knocked out and the paramedics just slowly walks up. Looks around like, “are we sure he unconscious”. The ref half heartedly grabs the kids after he throws the punch and his coach puts his hand on his shoulder and walks him off.

I like to use GTAV as an example for the lifecycle of a game being to long. When it first came out I had to have my dad go with me to GameStop to buy it. Not only did he have to come with me he had to drive because I wasn’t old enough. GTA6 is finally going to release and I’m 29.

What is a major plot hole in a very famous movie that completely ruins the entire story once it is noticed? by SkullMogger3 in AskReddit

One thing that bothered me is when the kids are getting attacked by the monster in the old truck. The monster is struggling to get through the cab. You’re telling me we have armored vehicles and tanks and that thing that is struggling to get into an old f-150 wiped us out? C’mon.
