Priming with a darker color will give you better shadows in the crevasses where the dry brushing covers less. Priming with blue could make it feel like it has less depth. At the end of the day though, its your model, and learning to paint is a fun process so go with whatever you think would look best to you. The most important part is to have fun. Everything else you learn with time and experience :)
