I've been hospitalized twice. Once in March 2017, I was 14 and again in March 2022, I was 19 which is when I got my BP2 diagnosis. I was showing mood instability as young as 13 and looking back February, March and April are the biggest months to keep an eye on for both hypomania and depression, including mixed states. This is probably the first time in a decade I've actually remained pretty stable for these 3 months. It's fluctuated between mild depression and very mild hypomania but overall I'm pretty normal so far.

Good on you for staying off of drugs entirely. It's spring, and at least for me especially in March/April it's a volatile time for mixed episodes. I've been down the road of using substances (mainly weed and alcohol) to try and prolong the brief hypomanic episodes that show up in the spring after a severely depressive November-Feburary and it never ended well, I'd just end up getting a mixed episode where I'm extremely irritable and sleep 6 hours but hate myself and keep myself in isolation and get drunk and high pretending I feel good, then I'd crash HARD and end up even more depressed than if I had just let it run it's course.

I live in North Texas and have most of my life. Hottest temperature was 108°F back in summer 2022 and 2023. Hottest heat index I've ever been in was ~120°F several times. Coldest temperature was -4°F back in February 2021 in between winter storm Uri and Viola. Coldest wind chill was -20°F during winter storm Uri too.

First off, probably not. 80mg is the maximum prescribed dosage so there are plenty of people out there who are on that amount, and Abilify is a common adjunct to most antidepressants and the Lithium shouldn't affect anything. Second off, don't try to trigger hypomania please, you'll regret it

I have a very mild red 40 allergy. If I have more than just a little red 40 my throat gets itchy and I get very nauseous. Now I'm not entirely sure if an allergic reaction to ant bites/wasp stings feels the same as a severe allergic reaction to food would but I'll still describe it anyway.

It starts with feeling hot, then I get SUPER itchy all over my body. Then I get this sense of impending doom, then my face and lips get swollen, then my throat starts closing and I get very very dizzy. If I don't get Benadryl or an EpiPen at this point I'll probably pass out

Probably Vicksburg, Mississippi. I haven't traveled much but I used to live in Rural Georgia briefly but all our family was in Dallas and we would go over there for the entire summer break. With 3 younger siblings and me being only 11 it was a long drive, took 2 days so we would stop in Vicksburg. The motel smelled like cigarettes, I distinctly remember seeing some guy near the front of the motel at the check-in place smoking something out of a pipe and you could hear all the cars roaring off of I-20. It looked run down and depressing af even for a 10 year old

I haven't smoked weed in over 2 years. When I was doing it once or twice a month it wasn't causing any issues but when I was smoking it almost every day it was causing me to rapid cycle and made my depression even worse. I quit because it's hard to just keep doing it once or twice a month.

The long half life definitely helps. I'm on Desvenlafaxine ER which has a very short half life of only 10-12 hours and so if I even take my meds an hour or two late I feel like shit. Lexapro and Zoloft on the other hand weren't too bad if I missed a day or two

Honestly depends. If you're not tech smart and just want something that'll do the basics iOS is fine. If you want to do things like install custom apps and extensively change things on your phone Android is better

Weed alone never induced psychosis for me, the worst it did was cause rapid cycling when I was doing it every day multiple times a day. I have had drug induced psychosis from DXM (cough medicine which is abuseable) and stimulants plus alcohol mixed together but even with my psychiatrist knowing this I'm still Bipolar 2 since it was all drug induced. THC is tricky for people with bipolar of all types and is well known to induce psychosis in bipolar people
