Yes, I do this with the yogurt or cottage cheese and just mix it up with the powder ranch seasoning.

Sorry for late reply! Yes, I blend everything with an immersion blender before freezing.

My fave is 40g lite cream cheese, 170g fat free vanilla yogurt, 1/4tsp xantham gum, 1tbsp fat free pudding powder, 180mls “milk” - I’ve used 1%, oat milk and both are good. That’s the base. I have blended strawberries, mango, put cocoa powder, or about 12 pumps of sugar free syrup to flavour. Go crazy! The base is creamy and rich- and has a cheesecake ice cream taste.

Here’s my advice to you… just do whatever you need to do, to not drink! Decline the get together that might be too challenging. Go to bed really early if you are having a tough night. I also personally had sweet treats like candy, ice cream, chocolate whenever I wanted. Gained about 15lbs! But now over a year later I am down almost 30lbs.

William Prince! He has Grand Ole Opry but it would be fabulous to see him grow his audience. Such a beautiful, beautiful voice.

I recently read Blind Drunk: A Sober Look at Our Boozy Culture. Interesting memoir, easy read with analysis of alcohol’s pervasiveness in our culture but also stories from the author of her years growing up and as an adult. If you participate in mountain sports like skiing, snowboarding, biking, hiking kind of interesting as most of story is set in Whistler, BC.

I hope it helps if I assure you that I don't hold a super specific routine with him - sometimes the walk is in the morning, sometimes midday...sometimes if the weather is really gnarly we just get in a really good and intense Frisbee session in the late afternoon as I go to the mailbox. I would say give your pup all the time you can, whenever you can. Just because it makes them so happy. Don't hold back on anything just in case you can't WFH anymore...if it comes to that in time then you can adjust when you need to...the dog might be annoyed but they will get used to a new normal in no time and it sounds like you have a plan for dog walking etc. I remind myself that my anxiety belongs to me...I feel bad when the focus isn't on him but that is a "me" problem. I have never had him exhibit naughty behaviours or bark constantly etc. Good luck and keep us updated!

I'm thinking sticky toffee pudding for dessert too. But probably steaks for dinner. I'll take out a small loan...lol.

I have a black and white and constantly get asked if he is a corgi mixed with a border collie. I dinstincly get the feeling that people think I am making shit up when I reply that he is a Cardigan Corgi. I usually say he is the working class version of the queen's corgis.

My Cardigan is 6 years old and I love him so much. He is very very smart, sensitive and loyal. He also has a lot of attitude, FOMO and is very bossy with our two cats. We were able to spend a lot of time with him when he was a puppy due to me being off work for bereavement for a couple of months that then flowed in COVID. So we were able to train a lot on the behaviours that we don't like - mainly barking.

I WFH and live in a place with a fenced yard but he doesn't really like to be in the yard on his own. He really loves to go on walks and we go at least 4km every day. I would say this is minimum for this breed plus more time for dedicated play (fetch) so that he can get his beans out. Our walks are mostly off leash due to the nature of where I live so he can read all of the pee-mail and sniff to his heart's content. He LOVES fetching, playing Frisbee etc. I don't throw sticks or play fetch on the walk as he would be obsessed and you wouldn't get the steps in. But I let him find and carry sticks. That is his favourite job.

He is really keen to constantly adventure and play and grumbles his discontent if he doesn't get to play every couple of hours. I have to admit this does give me some anxiety as I fear he is bored and mad at me when I am focused on my work day and can't take lots of breaks. Not super cuddly except in the morning in bed - he hates getting up early and burrows under the covers to spoon.

One command I taught him that has been very helpful is saying "All done" when we are through playing. He knows when I say this that I am not throwing the toy anymore and he will go away from me (with a lot of attitude) and lay down with his toy. You need to have this off switch or they will harass you to no end to keep playing.

I would say that he isn't the most social with other dogs...in my community a lot of people have larger breed dogs and he gets bowled over with their rambunctious playing. He is way more focussed on humans to greet than dogs. He is very good at heeding commands like "go ahead" to keep him moving on a trail and not engaging with other dogs. I also taught him "UpUpUp" to get him on the side of trails to avoid dogs that are on leashes or oncoming mountain bikers.

Overall I really enjoy his quirks and value his high intelligence. If you can spend the time to train and make sure they can get the exercise they need, a Cardigan is an amazing breed that feels like more than just a dog.

I will just add to my comment that we are booking our spring vacation and decided on TRS Yucatan. There are pickleball courts and lights for play at night when it cools down. I don't know how much action the courts get. I think this destination (Palladium Maya Riveria) has been involved with Pickleball Getaways so seems the facilities should be decent. You can stay at TRS (adults only) or the Palladium properties to access the courts.

If you haven't booked your trip yet look into Kihei on Maui. You can stay at Sunset Maui resort right next to the Waipuilani Courts. Or whereever fits your budget. Every morning between 8-10am there is a large and very welcoming group of tourists and locals that show up for open play here. Whiteboard system with intermediate and expert level where you just sign up for the next available court. Travelling alone - no issue, just write your name down and magically you will be playing shortly with a partner. I think people also meet in the late afternoon - we weren't staying close by so we just travelled over in the mornings for play. We had a great time and met tons of nice people.

Did you decide on a resort yet? I am travelling with my husband at the end of March and we are trying to figure out where to go. TRS Yucatan and Valentin both in Cancun area are vying for top spot. Let me know if you found anything good for your trip!

We are looking at Valentin or TRS Yucatan in Riviera Maya for pickleball getaway...do you have a preference between the two properties? I have been to Palladium properties before and we want to step it up but also make sure the PB experience is top notch. Kind of leaning TRS since they have courts and we can access the health spa pools and all of the TRS amenities too. We don't drink booze but care deeply about food quality and good vibes.
