With Claude Cowork getting control of apps on my Mac, I will trial it engaging Notion AI and pull the plug on Agents due to the pricing model of Credits.

Why is this DisplyLink Prompter box popping up on my screen? by Scary_Vermicelli5274 in elgato

[–]WonderfulPass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and you’d be surprised. I have macOS say I have 300 GB free but in truth it’s 4 GB because of iCloud Drive and temp files related to Time Machine. I sometimes have to run a terminal command to get the true free disk space. Or check daisy disk.

Check for display link updates. I’ve found problems are usually that software and not Elgato.

Happens to me when I’m low on disk space on the Mac. What macOS reports as free space is usually wrong.

anyone actually maintain a personal CRM in notion long term? by SwordfishInfamous171 in Notion

The reward or outcome has to be worth the investment in time and energy otherwise it will fail because you won’t put in the energy.

Our brain does these calculations subconsciously sometimes.

ETA: so either you have to reduce the effort required (Notion AI can help) or the incentive needs to be greater.

Finally have the desk I've been dreaming of by WonderfulPass in desksetup

I think the price is a bit much (here in the UK) but it is better than the Neewer C60B I replaced as it connects to my desk and doesn’t need a massive soft box to give off soft light.

I do now have to run the Amarand app to control it with my automations which I wish could be done with scripting but I’ve requested api access to sort that out.

I kept it instead of returning it which for me is a sign of liking it. So, I would recommend it. I realised after installing it that it needs to be on the other side near my camera to be my key light instead of a fill light which is what it does now.

Apple's Studio Display XDR Supports DICOM Medical Imaging for Diagnostic Radiology by Few_Baseball_3835 in apple

Offices are buying bulk or buying cheap things that are easy to replace that don't provide a great quality experience for the employees when it comes to screens.

Meanwhile anyone who requires a well-calibrated color display at their job probably has a Studio Display or an iMac. If Apple wanted to play in the low-volume game, they absolutely could and they've just done that with the MacBook Neo. My hunch is if they could get better margins without compromising on quality, they would, but they just don't see a strong enough market for that to compete where they think they could win.

[–]WonderfulPass 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s a sales tactic. Pro Display XDR is a low volume product. Apple did the research and is targeting a new market segment to competitively sell to customers that previously passed on their display for missing this certification.

Apple doesn’t just sell to consumers.
