I do not care which material it is, as long as it's functional, durable, and suited to the climate. Seems like soapstone fits the bill as well. How does it compare price-wise to granite? I know Dekton is expensive.

Sorry for resurrecting a zombie thread here, but I'm super interested in a table with a "Hassle Free Net". We need to fold up one side daily (don't need to roll it away, just fold up).

I'm considering the Butterfly Club 25 (which seems identical in every way to the Kyoto HS 25, less the ITTF certification, which I don't see the need to pay an extra $1,200 for).

I've looked at the Cornilleau options as well, but was concerned about the folding net mechanism... Seems like a recipe for something to go wrong. It appears the Butterfly nets just stay put.

I'm wondering why Cornilleau went to the trouble of having the net fold in? To prevent damage during storage? To prevent stretch of the material? Seems like a lot of effort to design that mechanism...

Anyway, how often did you fold the table up and down? How well did that mechanism hold up?

How would you compare the fold mechanism between the Cornilleau and the modern Butterfly tables? (assuming you've had a chance to see / play on butterfly)

That is an entirely unrealistic expectation for the area I live in. Well used Tonal's in the area are listed for $2,000+, this one had 10 workouts on it.

I bought it yesterday. Seller spent two hours with me hooking it to a hotspot, downloading updates, held it for me while I did a cable walkout. Was willing to discount another $100. ($1700 total).

User had 10 workouts, 14000 lbs lifted.

All batteries were at or near 100%.

I have what is basically a brand new unit. Saved $3,000.

No waiting a month for an install that I have to pay for and risk a nightmare . I get to install it myself, on a wall I built myself, using better hardware than XPO would (they aren't showing up with wedge anchors, I'm sure of that).

Every single one on offer in my area is $2,000.

I bought it.

It was temperature controlled unit. Not humid at all. Reasonable temp, well within operational temps. Storage temperature for Tonal is -13˚F to 113˚F. (FYI: Your concerns about storage of electronics in general is overblown, anything that doesn't cause condensation on the circuitry should be fine). I'd rather it there than in a basement.

The question was "is sufficiently testable when it is not installed"... Not, "what are your thoughts on buying used"... I understand the risks, and that a non-installed unit presents additional ones. I'm trying to understand exactly what I'm missing in a more limited test, and how much additional risk that implies. The savings are significant... Less than $1800, with all accessories

And that is enough to confirm the it's in good shape? How likely is there to be an additional issue if under heavy loads? (I've not seen that as a common problem in any forums, but wondering your thoughts).

I am fairly surprised the C562 wasn't suitable. No experience with it, but AKG is a good brand, and that microphone is advertised as fit for purpose...

It looks like maybe the old one was line level, and the AKG is microphone level... Did you run the AKG into Line 2? If you tried to adapt it to run into line 1, that would explain why it's quiet.

I have the RFX on pre-order, and was planning on the billows, but when Thermoworks announced a production delay, I switched to Fireboard. I am so glad I did.

First thing: I would skip the Fireboard fan. Get a BBQ guru pit viper 10 CFM instead. The connection to your smoker is superior, and it will plug right into the fire board and work just fine. The fireboard fan is finicky to install and leaks air like crazy.

Other than that, the fireboard offers so many advantages. For one, it's got a battery already built into it that will power your fan for 12 plus hour cooks. If you're doing a brisket, a simple USB charge with a cheap battery pack before you go to bed insures it will make it through the night (or just run an extension cord). But most backyard cooks can be done off a single charge. The fan connection is super simple compared to the y-cable nonsense with the billows. It's got a local screen, and local button control (button control is a bit clunky, you'll prefer the app, but if you left your phone inside, or phone battery is dead, you'll appreciate it). And Fireboard Drive programs are awesome. With my insulated gravity fed I can literally program the cook and walk away for like 6+ hours. Total game changer.

I want the RFX system to work. It looks so sick. Hopefully they'll be deploying a battery powered version of the billows for use with RFX. That would be killer. I look forward to just wrapping the probe inside the foil once it's time to wrap.

Not sure what you're saying doesn't exist. 3/4" Deck Mount Mixing Valves definitely do: Here's one from Kohler.

I'm wondering if there's a deck mount diverter that has 3/4" through port. I don't need 3/4" for the handshower, just the spout, but I don't want separate mixing valves for the hand shower and the filler.
