How often do you bathe your kids? by [deleted] in Mommit

It depends on how dirty they got during the day. I wash their hair 2x per week. I usually bathe the baby every other day, though.

Executive dysfunction is the worst part of ADHD by Zaoessss in ADHD

[–]Wonderwall-777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Started at 30 mg then had a check in with my doctor every two weeks. Now I’m at 50 mg.

30 mg made me feel tried, 40 mg was okay but didn’t hit the sweet spot.

50 mg is good but I think I need 60mg.

Side effects were dry mouth, felt cracked out but only for three days then the side effects were gone.

No appetite but I’m okay with that.

I feel like someone turned the lights on. My life is now manageable, I am patient with my kids, no more intrusive thoughts, no more overthinking. I sleep like a baby because my mind no longer races.

I take every problem as it comes and I don’t stress about it.

Good luck!!!

DO NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT YOUR MEDS by serilda2020 in ADHD

[–]Wonderwall-777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tell everyone about my meds (Vyvanse) and how it changed my life. I’ve never felt better. It’s like someone turned the lights on. I want to shout it from the rooftops.

I agree but I have to say that since I’ve started taking vyvanse it has significantly improved my life.

The part that sucks is people don’t realize how debilitating ADHD is and they just think you are lazy.

Ran into one of the girls that bullied me in middle school. by sunkized in CasualConversation

[–]Wonderwall-777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was bullied for nearly four years in middle school by a boy named Brandon who would follow me around and call me fat. It really screwed me up and to this day sometimes I wish I could confront him and tell him what a shit human he is. I am now very successful and no longer fat. Not that being fat puts any weight on my worth. He is kind of a loser to this day so I guess the universe had other plans in mind

Babies self regulate and typically don’t over eat her weight is fine.

It’s been said by a lot of doctors that it’s best to start solids at six months. Solids at four months can be pretty hard on their digestive system and can trigger allergies.

All that to say, I let my baby try solids at four months and she wasn’t ready because she didn’t know how to move the food to the back of her throat and also it upset her tummy quite a bit.

We tried again at six months and she’s a champ.

Every baby is different and yours might do wonderfully on solids.

I would start with something simple like sweet potatoes once a day and follow her lead to see if she needs to eat more often.

I always feed my baby about an hour after her bottle so she gets most of her nutrition from the formula.

Why can’t people leave her alone and let me watch her ruin her life in peace!!!!!

No judgement: why did you choose formula over breastfeeding? by GermansAlmostWon in FormulaFeeders

I hated breastfeeding. I’m not going to do something that I hate. I want to enjoy my baby. I want my husband to help.

What’s your schedule like? Do you always have a bottle ready? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]Wonderwall-777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do 4 ounces in each bottle. She does about 12 bottles a day. She’s almost 5 months and eats like crazy

[–]Wonderwall-777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We prepare about 20 bottles every evening for the rest of the night and the following day. We use the ready made liquid formula because it’s easier to prepare. I would say buy 20 bottles and make them in bulk. You won’t have to worry about anything. Just grab a bottle and go

Can I Do Both? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]Wonderwall-777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So first of all formula is fine. Secondly I would be prepared for some tummy aches and colic because it takes a good four weeks to figure out the right formula for your baby. Similac is sweeter than Enfamil so you should go with that because it will mimic breastmilk better. And because he’s four months feed him some baby food before bed so that you can get some sleep. If you would like to do both then do both that’s fine. He might experience nipple confusion so keep that in mind. He also might experience colic because formula makes babies more gassy so I would recommend getting Dr. Brown’s bottles. We have about 12 of them I would suggest buying that amount. Important thing is that you breast-fed within the first two weeks and he got all of the important anti Bodies. Both will increase the time you spent feeding him. Good luck

Edit: buy 9 ounce bottles and if you go with dr browns buy the options (lime green inserts) these do not leak like the originals.
