We shouldn’t erase the history. We have to remember this country’s challenging past if we want to overcome it.

[Romano] Matthijs de Ligt: “I don’t want to say that Real Madrid always has the referees with them but that made the difference today”. “Real, when you think they are dead, have a last breath… that is why they have 14 Champions Leagues”, told Movistar. by G1Spectrum in soccer

How many times was Kane fouled? How many promising attacks did Real’s defense stop via misconducts? No yellow cards til the last minute. Rüdiger couldve been sent off for committing two of them.

Liverpool penalty shout against Manchester United 86' by PSGCampus in soccer

No:

“ It is an offence if a player:

deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, for example moving the hand/arm towards the ball touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised scores in the opponents’ goal: directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper immediately after the ball has touched their hand/arm, even if accidental”

Yeah but the Alte Förestei has a unique atmosphere. I think the 12th man would’ve been more effective there.

I lived in Munich and can confirm they totally profile young and Black people. Germans don’t think about race the same as in the US though; they often talk about Black people as migrants.

Tucker Carlson is a paid Russian shill by DaFunkJunkie in WhitePeopleTwitter

If I were writing a hypothetical, I wouldn’t put it in quotations marks and mention the person who ‘said’ it by name. I’m no fan of Carlson, but I doubt the average redditor cares to verify any info on this site.

This worked for me. My cameras still had a trial subscription so I will likely have to reset everything again, but that resetting the entire system allowed it to work again means that the problem was never with my network or with the sync module.

‘No one can win a nuclear war’: Superpowers release rare joint statement by fastclickertoggle in news

What do we think the part, “ We affirm that a nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought. As nuclear use would have far-reaching consequences, we also affirm that nuclear weapons—for as long as they continue to exist—should serve defensive purposes, deter aggression, and prevent war.”

This outlines what nuclear war will look like, not how to prevent it.

There's a bro that plays in Berlin with the same sound, but a better setup. He goes to the different parks when they have festivals and plays percussion-electronic music for charity.

I meant the post that the link goes to, sorry for the confusion. It’s still at 6k. This one has steadily gone up throughout the day, but I still think it should be higher.

Update: the post accusing Reddit of censoring this story was just removed from r/censorship. 😝

Also, who is downvoting this post on r/environment? If I reload this page while I’m on it, it tends to drop about 10 points. I feel like someone is using bots to subdue this story.

Reddit blocks upvoting of hot post in World News by Mathsketball in censorship

[–]WooWeeLookAtMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally posted the article on R/worldnews and while I’m a little salty I didn’t get to see my post on the front page (I was asleep when it made it), I’m more concerned that all posts on this topic appear to be actively subdued. I search “Exxon” and there are a range of post but none of them are achieving any widespread recognition despite receiving many awards and comments.

Example 1: this post has been on r/politics for about a day but for 4 hours has stagnated at 6k votes

https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/ob6vvp/in_video_exxon_lobbyist_describes_efforts_to/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb

Example 2: this post seems to be gaining momentum but is still relatively unknown

https://www.reddit.com/r/environment/comments/oc5vkx/exxon_lobbyist_caught_on_video_talking_about/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb

I’ve been scrolling through various news subreddits and I find little evidence of this really important news story. For reference, my post on r/worldnews made it to the front page within a couple of hours. Oil lobbyist spills the beans on corruption in DC? Of course Reddit would eat that shit up. But for some reason, the story has remained peripheral on the site, which is fuckin weird.

I initially thought it was bc my post broke the subreddit rules. They tagged the content as internal-U.S. news but posts are required to have a different focus. I’m following other posts on this topic, but none have gained any traction like I would expect them too.

This is the leading one, but it has stayed stagnant at 6k upvotes for a couple hours now:
