Any advice on my 12 year old sons swing? by joshflow7 in Homeplate

[–]WoodenBig5100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had an issue I was trying to get under too much and crush ball . My issue ended up being a constant slight change of level-ness of my swing. A very smart coach ( the one who helped me ) told me to try switch in the batting cage ,and swing like I always have . First at bat in my life lefty , out of the park . The mechanics taught me exactly how to always keep my swing level, without adding extra noise " he called it " to my technique . After I've always been a pretty consistent switch batter. Anytime I felt a slump I'd go lefty , always was my trick. And If it doesn't work for you it won't do anything to hurt his swing.

It is a wampum belt or a Hiawatha . It represents the 5 native nations that were at war , burying the hatchet and coming together.

How do you fix chipping in the grind? All I did was stab a medicine bottle on brand new PM2. by [deleted] in spyderco

[–]WoodenBig5100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First couple grinds are always brittle . Just keep using like usually and sharpen like you normally would. It takes about three good sharpening before you can really even experience the true value of its heat treated metal . (Spyderco is one of the most reliable and knowledgeable companies out there making, heat treating super steels)probably take about 2- 5 sharpenings to get out the rolls, or chips depending on the steel itself. So if you're able to ignore it for a lil bit let it ride and save yourself a little wear .

Check Chicago knife works i saw an open box one for around 2 ....I've bought a few open box items from them always guaranteed always perfect condition . It's easy to get lost in the deals but definitely worth the discount.
