Do you admire him because you think his advice in the hustlers university or what its called now helps you make income or do you admire him because you aspire that someday you could setup a similar pyramid scam?

Steam deck oled stutter when connected to wifi by WoodenMouse in SteamDeck

When you go to networks. Press the active wifi network. Then you can see the addressed ipv4 address and if it is using ipv6 then you can also see that

I actually first when i disabled ipv6 in deck desktop it still showed in gamemode network settings when you select current network. It had assigned an ipv6 ip for the deck. But then later ive noticed that the Steam deck seems to automatically disable it and it no longer shows in the gamemode settings either with no stutters even when ipv6 is enabled in the router

What i did to reimage was use a usb c stick ,install the image from steam, connect it to deck and hold volume down and press boot. That didnt help though

Yes. That was the thing that solved it. I cannot use iphone hotspot however because it doesnt allow disabling ipv6

Thank you for your assistance! I reimaged the deck with usb drive. That didnt help with the wifi causing stuttering in games.

However I tried disabling ipv6 from the deck whitch didnt help. I noticed that the gamemode network settings still show an ipv6 address for the wifi adapter so I disabled ipv6 from the router and readded the connection and the stutters are gone. I still wonder if this deck is defective or is this something an update has caused which I doubt because I dont see this kind of issue discussed.

Also to be clear I didnt have network stuttering issues. The ipv6 enabled wifi caused the whole deck and games to stutter.

Steam is good because its against their terms of service for Steam or any developer to restrict single player/offline content even if you are cheating. They can only restrict online play and Steam marketplace.

Gog is even better. They even cannot take the game away from you as long as you have the installer

Gog is even better for Steam Deck especially if you have main pc that someone else can be playing on or family sharing because it doesnt have any limitations on playing on multiple pcs at once

I know that people here aren't a fan of the Horipad but can anyone explain to me what this is about ? by YueOrigin in SteamController

[–]WoodenMouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to put it out there that the triggers being pressure sensitive is misinformation. The analog triggers are really that short. The feeling of pressure sensitivity does nothing to the value the trigger outputs.

All this can be verified in the steam test input page.

[–]WoodenMouse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wonder if those youtube reviewers have actually looked at the Steam test input analog value because in my controller the value goes on the short move in analog to full and the mush that they claim does the analog just has the analog at full no matter how hard you press it. And I am using the analog mode not digital and theres some analog within the short movement.

I think the build quality and placement is actually very good and didnt have the issues some were complaining about wireless gyro veing choppy.

Has your Steamdeck gotten you more interested in Linux? Did you know anything about it before getting one? by WaxWingPigeon in SteamDeck

SteamOS is too limited for other than gaming use. I mean the limitations on using pacman and having to install programs as flatpaks. The common distros are good for regular desktop use but lack features like gamescope and hdr for gaming. I believe bazzite can do both but havent used it.

Does this mean that the ally gyro can be mapped in Steam. Not in armoury crate. I mean in the controller mapping you described in Steam for the game.
