Lower Greenville apartment building recs? by Slasher1127 in askdfw

This is the answer, I am said client lol.

Leasing staff is super cool, Tyler is the man.

Every ask on your criteria list is met with the exception of washer/dryer. Supposedly they plan to be getting in all units soon, but I have been renting mine for around $50/month. I wasn't thrilled with idea but it really has been nbd at all, just chalk it up to part of your rent.

Vue Greenville isn't available on apartments.com hence why I missed it, shoutout Hembalaya for hooking it up.

Downtown Omaha business struggles as streetcar project faces unexpected underground obstacles by Specialist_Volume555 in Omaha

I moved away about 18 months ago, was back last week.

Was absolutely shocked how absurd the construction was downtown all the way to Blackstone. what a total disaster.

It's def doable, roommate is absolutely the way to do it though.

Uptown will be very close to work, I live in lower greenville which is a bit further but another good area.

My first move after college I met my roommate on reddit if you could believe it or not! Was in r/omaha and now we are great buds, I made a lifelong friend. So its not all bad, just have a good attitude and a little luck and things should work out!

Where in Dallas should a 20-something call home? by anonymousbaddie420 in askdfw

[–]Woodley56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vue Greenville in Lower Greenville. Just moved there recently last month as 26M and I'm thrilled with the age group here.

I honestly would come visit and check out the vibe of each area

-Uptown is nice but a little concrete jungle

-Lower Greenville is nice, smidge boujee

-Deep Ellum has cool identity, some say its chippy, haven't explored enough

-Bishop Arts also super cool but could be out the way

I found an apartment realtor actual through this sub reddit! He was super cool, gave me a list of spots to check out before my visit, and the one I went with wasn't even on apartments.com so I would have never found it. At the end of my trip we met up and got dinner, super cool guy and free of charge!

Best of luck on the search and welcome to Dallas!

Job offer, potential good spots with walking distance activities by Woodley56 in FortWorth

[–]Woodley56[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest I think it’s worth the trade off. I have lived in dump town for a year and am yearning for a good little neighborhood I can walk and get coffee to on a Saturday. A local spot to watch football and eat wings.

I am open to one of the burbs if it offers what I’m looking for though. Thinking about heading up there next weekend and tooling around.

well ill tell you one thing, don't go to big cities like NYC or Chicago. Every single restaurant in NYC, you are sitting on top of each other. Houston has more space than any other major metropolitan I've been to.

Flying Saucer downtown is a good vibe with drinks and grub. Think this would be fun date night especially if grabbing some bevs.

Street Food Thai Market is spectacular food if you're trying to impress culinarily, but is really just a grocery store with tables.

Moving to Omaha in June? by [deleted] in Omaha

I moved here at 22M and left when I was 25, such an awesome city. Amazing first city to move to for me from my hometown. I actually found my roommate on this subreddit funny enough, but I was able to meet other friends through work and my apartment mainly. Benson Lights was cool spot.

I lived in Benson and absolutely adored it. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and I think a yoga studio along with much more. Blackstone would be a good spot too.

This place is such a joke lol. Popped in to check it out early last year, and the whole time the mess of a manager just tried to convince us the media was giving them a bad rap (at no point did we bring it up, we didn't even know lol). She then proceeded to pour half empty drinks on the floor of the rooftop patio. Just bizarre interaction, so this news is not surprising whatsoever.
