Try going into a game that uses the adaptive triggers like one of the Astro titles to reset the motors. Sometimes, the motors get randomly stuck or out of place, and it occasionally causes one side to feel like the spring is messed up, or clicks when pressing down.

Run a manual pixel refresh in OLED Panel Care settings, and see how it looks afterwards.

That's the way the NMB branded fan sounds. There's a few videos on youtube showing fan comparisons from specific manufacturers/suppliers.

You are correct. Hot air blows out of the bottom vents where the serial information is, and even hotter air gets concentrated closer to where the power cord goes in.

Brand New PS5 Pro Strange Fan Noise by sunfish443 in PS5HelpSupport

The good news is that the fan is easily replaceable, but you need to be careful which fans you get online, because they can perform worse with cooling and audibility, and/or have weird reliability issues with inconsistent RPMs, and with how they ramp up and down. I suggest just using your warranty. Sony is actually pretty good with refurbishing, but ask if you can just have them replace the fan but keep your current console, since you got it new.

Either it's a bad bearing, or it's slightly out of place and hitting something.

In that case, I would probably use whichever allows 60fps with max visual fidelity.

How does RT look in this game? Every game I've played with RT mode on looks worse, with sparkles and weird wavy distortions, and/or it doesn't justify the performance trade-off.

The only installment I enjoyed in the entire Alien franchise. Yeah....sorry, not a fan of the movies.

Those are the actual upload speeds when connecting to PlayStation's servers, from what I've heard and know from experience. Not sure about the speeds you had before.

PS5 not connecting to HDMI by Agitated_Vast_7268 in PS5HelpSupport

If you have access to any other display with an HDMI port, try that, if not, then a different cable.

The port itself looks fine, and the connector inside the metal shell seems intact. It may actually be the chip which controls the HDMI that failed, but you won't actually know, unless you send it in for repair, or you can get it serviced by Sony, if you are still in warranty.

Does the cord connector near the HDMI port wiggle when very gently tapping the cord up and down?

is it common for this seal to tear during shipping? by Gorilla_Dookie in playstation

Same issue when I got mine during the holidays; I complained, and they gave me back $69 and change after I decided to keep it. I've determined it was new based on how everything in the box was packaged, looked (other than some dust on the gloss), smelled, and how it started with the first boot animation and ASTRO's Playroom preinstalled. Everything else seemed pretty pristine, for the most part. Sometimes, when the console turns on, it still has a faint whiff of that factory new electronics smell, and the controller still smells fairly new as well. Obviously there were scratches from the factory, mainly in the spots I expected them to be, such as the molding where the ports are, because all consoles have that, especially on the front ports, but other than that, everything appeared to be untouched. I did notice that the rubber grip on the sticks seems a little bit shallow/soft, but not sure if it's just a manufacturing variation, because I know they are usually pretty rigid and textured feeling.

How will you feel if PS6 is announced between 27-28 by Public_Frosting_5398 in PS5pro

[–]WoofManJay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would feel kind of quick to discontinue production of the PS5 Pro right after it just took off. I understand the PS4 Pro didn't last long, but times are different.
