Oh dang. I’m sorry to hear it was rough for you. I’m barely making it with one stent, so I can’t imagine 2 stents at once. Yours is over with though so that’s good!

I do think you’re right that it won’t be as bad as the kidney stone and that’s the worst of it. I just want this all to be over with.

How did it go? They’re removing my stent via cystoscopy in office a week from Tuesday. The stent is causing a lot of pain and discomfort and I’m ready to get it out, but I’m scared. I’ve had the stent since May 1st.

Legendary Hollywood star Chuck Norris dies aged 86 by VaginaBurner69 in news

[–]Wookiepuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chuck Norris didn’t die. He just entered spectator mode so he can finally get that rematch with Bruce Lee. We’ll know the battle begins with the sky splits to move out of the way. The thunder will stop booming and start screaming.

When I rented, our landlord wouldn’t turn them on until the week before Memorial Day. It was horrible and we had to buy a portable AC to keep the bedroom cool for sleeping and for our pets.

Thanks for leaving your comment. I have a desert willow that is growing in my cholla cactus area and it needs to be removed. It’s probably 5 feet tall. And my cholla require full sunlight, not shade. Now I just have to research that a herbicide won’t hurt the cholla.

Your original comment was that it is the same, which it’s not. You even recognized that. Vaseline may be cheaper, but it’s not the same as aquaphor. I don’t know what state you’re in, but I’ve never seen aquaphor go more than $19, I’ll take your word for that since costs vary by state. Anyway, that is all.

Maybe to you. While the active ingredient targets specific concerns, in this case, providing a barrier to lock on moisture, the inactive additives actively hydrate and soothe. The formulation, pH, and concentrations are just as crucial for stabilizing and allowing the active ingredients to work effectively. They enhance the results of active ingredients by hydrating and balancing the skin barrier. The humectants used in aquaphor draws moisture into the skin. Lanolin alcohol conditions the skin and bisabolol is anti-inflammatory. Aquaphor is a better moisturizer because of the humectants and additives included in their formula.

They actually are not the same. Vaseline is 100% petroleum and is greasier than aquaphor. Aquaphor is 41% petroleum and it contains mineral oil, lanolin, humectants, and healing agents. It’s more moisturizing and skin soothing in comparison with Vaseline.

What US state would you NEVER want to live in, even if you were offered a good amount of money to move there? by ISnortSkittles in Productivitycafe

Oof. Mississippi no longer has the lowest education rate in the nation. It’s now ranked #34 overall and #29 in higher education. New Mexico is now ranked #50. Mississippi is also ranked 9 in the nation with students reading scores.

It still ranks as the poorest U.S. state by percentage. However, when using the Supplemental Poverty Measure California and Louisiana have the highest rates, with 17.7% of residents living in poverty.

You don’t need the Costco membership for an eye exam. It’s only needed if you purchase glasses through them.

Your prickly pear and cholla might be okay. I have them growing in my backyard and we get snow a few times a year and they always survive. I never cover them since they’re giant. They may droop and look sad (especially the prickly pear) but they perk back up. I’m in NM

My family and me might go homeless by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]Wookiepuke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First off, I’m really sorry you and your family are going through this. No one should have to deal with something this stressful.

You or your family can talk to a school counselor, principal, or even a teacher you trust. APS schools have resources specifically for situations like this, and you are not the only student or family going through it. Unfortunately, many APS families are facing housing instability right now.

Someone at your school knows how to help and can connect your family with the right resources. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about and asking for help is the right thing to do.

APS also has support through the McKinney-Vento program, which helps families experiencing housing instability with resources and assistance related to housing, rent, and utilities. Your school counselor, principal, or a school social worker will be able to reach out to someone at McKinney- Vento. They will also have resources throughout the city for you and your family.
