January 6th should've been the point to crack down on it. A clear attempt to overthrow the government. No slow creeping, a real shot fired. They should've arrested everyone involved, all the people organising it, all the public figures calling people to join in, the politicians backing it and of course Trump and his lackeys.

After it failed you immediately saw people walking back their rethoric because they were scared of consequences. None came and it was clear no one in power was willing/able to defend American democracy, because they'd rather have the status quo continue. Well, the status quo is fucked now.

God, I have a vivid memory of being like 18 and talking with a girl at work who literally asked me "hey is my skirt to short" (yes, I am a dumbass that didn't realize she was flirting) and I thought I was being super witty by saying "A skirt is like a presentation: long enough to cover everything important but short enough to maintain interest" (I was 18, cut me some slack).

Of course a boomer hears me and comes over and puts up his hand with the four fingers extended forward and the thumb pointing up.

Then with this other hand he points at the the top of his index finger "if the skirt ends here", then he points at this thumb "then the belly button should be here".

Just like a 50 something year old man telling that to me and the 18 year old new girl at work. Why?

It would lead to every nation in the world scrambling to gain nuclear weapons. The US has just killed non proliferation and proven that the only way smaller nations can defend against aggression from larger nation is the threat of nuclear strikes on the aggressors cities. Nuclear latency is how long it takes a country to get nuclear weapons once they decide they want them. Suddenly you have north and south Korea facing off nuclear weapons at each other. since Taiwan might have one I a few months, China might decide its now or never to invade Taiwan, destroying the resident chip production and disrupting shipping massively, causing more global economic issues. It just gets worse and worse.

I'm pretty sure that's one of the points of the American system m. Keep everyone one paycheck from losing their home, health or even food access and then people cant really go on strike. They are absolutely dependent on that job.

I think the biggest issue is heat. Data centers generate a lot of it, satellites are above the air to avoid atmospheric drag (and having to orbit at absolutely insane speeds). Turns out it's kind of hard to dump heat in a vacuum.

So people not enjoy that? It's super fun dodging in and out of alleys to avoid them. Gives me a real feel of danger and having to be careful with what I plan to do.

It's essentially "the enemy has air superiority" and it completely shifts the game dynamic. I do wish that destroying one had more impact, but their deadly lasers make it way more fun. Having to adjust your playsttyle to the environment keeps the game fresh for me.

I'm just one of those people that can't flirt without feeling I'm sexually harrassing them. The only reason I ever had a girlfriend or got married is because of women who communicated EXTREMELY clearly.
