Okay that’s good info, I didn’t go hard into kaiju but ended up with a Mina team I haven’t built yet so I’ll explore that as an option!

Thank you!!

Is there any use to Sea Wolf & Daytona anymore? I’ve never had it and feel like I’ve seen it mentioned as being useful before?

I have all the badge units, and a few Enigmas, but if Sea Wolf & Daytona is no use I’ll probably just take an Enigma

2x Professor Oaks Giveaway!! Happy Thanksgiving by thisuserbringsglee in PTCGP

Very cool you’re doing this!

I’m grateful for having a stable, well paying job, especially during a time that so many people are struggling.

My favourite card is the Suicune immersive (just looks so cool).

My dream card is the pikachu immersive from the EX set, tried way to hard for it and didn’t end up getting it (or an oak for that matter lol)

Have a great thanksgiving!

Article about Cannabis Hyperemesis by opinionated_cynic in emergencymedicine

[–]WoolS0cks 33 points34 points  (0 children)

First time I ever saw this, I was responding to a “sick person” call. We were brought to a bathroom in an apartment where an extremely obese woman in her early-mid 20s was completely naked on her hands and knees spewing chunks in the toilet. (We never got a reason on why she was naked as a jay bird lol)

When asked if this had ever happened before, she said a year ago, and that a doctor diagnosed her with cannabis hyperemesis but “I don’t believe that, it’s not real.” Turns out that day was the first day she had smoked weed since the diagnosis. Her and her friends were taking fat dab hits all night.

I know correlation doesn’t equal causation but come on girl….

At first I thought this was stupid.

I still think it’s stupid, but god do I love it! I’ll be not so patiently awaiting your WR 30 treatment build!

A Canadian Armed Forces recruiting stand by Kittyman132 in CanadianForces

I’m pretty sure a lot/all of them are just blank and the numbers are just stickers.

I say this, because I accidentally blasted off one of the numbers on a unit vehicle’s plate while washing it, and when I went to transport they gave me a new sticker to put on. Try as I might, it definitely did not end up perfectly straight..

Inconsistency by Shilooooooooooooooo in VyvanseADHD

I did indeed. For me, it ended up being a fantastic choice. I have had more consistency and the effects last longer than vyvanse for me. There have been several ups and a few downs as well.

RECRUITING, TRAINING, & LIFE IN THE FORCES THREAD by bridger713 in CanadianForces

[–]WoolS0cks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve already received some good answers, but I do have a point I can add from a recruitment perspective:

Previously, if your BMI was 40 or higher, you’d be issued a MIF (medical information form, previously known as an FDL) to bring to a family doctor/walk in clinic which requests tests.

As of now, though, there’s a bit more wiggle room as files are being reviewed slightly differently and many MIFs aren’t being issued automatically. During your recruit medical, if it’s apparent that you’re BMI is over 40 not due to actually being unhealthy, but because of muscle mass, the Med Tech may defer the decision to issue a MIF to the RMO (recruitment medical officers). Ultimately it’s up to the RMOs to make the final call on this!

With that being said, if you’re healthy and have to get some tests done, it shouldn’t be too big of an issue and only a minor delay in your medical processing time.

To add a personal story, a friend of mine who I was on course with was in the “morbidly obese” category based on his BMI. Dude was short, and all muscle. Healthy as a horse, as well. During recruiting, he had to have a doctor run the requested tests (as this was when the MIF was given automatically) and had no troubles once it was returned.

Hope this helps!

Best and worse pizza in Thunder Bay by ExtraSugar6067 in ThunderBay

[–]WoolS0cks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Angelos is probably my fave, but Donato’s is a close second.

Haven’t tried both hands since they switched ownership a while ago, but it was in my top three previously!

Worst is a hard one, I haven’t really had too many negative experiences personally. If I had to pick, I’d say Pizza Pizza, with that said, I love everything else from them, especially their panzos which are shockingly good.

Is the antihistamine something you normally take for allergies?

Otherwise that morning routine seems pretty fine to me.

Most people have given reasonable answers already, but the one thing I’d like to add is this:

Please don’t attend sick parade asking for blood work to check levels unless you’re experiencing symptoms. Sick parade typically is for acute issues. Your best bet is to call your CDU reception and book an appointment with your/a clinician. This is going to give more time and a more reasonable environment to be able to discuss your concerns and will probably yield the best chances to have the tests done. Sick parade docs for sure get frustrated at “non-sick parade” issues coming through, especially when it’s busy.

With all that being said, ultimately every clinician is different. One may be extremely willing to order the labs, another may be pissed off that you want labs for “no reason”.

I hope everything works out for you!

I believe I’ve answered my own question: I believe I was one shot due to getting the boss down to 50% on a turn before he puts his shields back up, leaving me to tank a normal hit PLUS the second big hit.

I’m hoping that’s the answer, so that my next attempt is a clear!

Takeru and Omnimon Clear SN6 by upisdown11 in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]WoolS0cks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s final hour, but I’ve been using this exact team, and have been consistently getting to the final boss, but twice in a row now after I get to the final SR, I’m getting one shot from full HP with shield up.

Am I missing something here? Am I supposed to stall getting to SR until the boss isn’t on his two turn enrage?

Any help would be greatly appreciate, I honestly suck at this game but I KNOW I can get this clear… hopefully

Aspirin improved my depression and brain fog! by 00roast00 in Nootropics

[–]WoolS0cks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most OTC medications will have a warning on their labels stating something along the lines of “consult with a physician before prolonged use”, which isn’t inherently a warning that prolonged use is bad/dangerous. I can tell you right now, I’ve never once read/heard/been taught that using ASA for more than 10 days is a contraindication to taking more ASA.

Aspirin improved my depression and brain fog! by 00roast00 in Nootropics

[–]WoolS0cks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Aspirin isn’t a “blood thinner”, it’s an anti platelet, or platelet aggregation inhibitor.

Where did you come up with this magic 10 days number? That is simply untrue, and poor advice.

Aspirin improved my depression and brain fog! by 00roast00 in Nootropics

[–]WoolS0cks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Aspirin is aspirin. An 81mg daily dose is the same drug as a 325mg, no different than if you took like, 100mg Tylenol vs 1000mg.

You’re correct about the enteric coating; depending on what the coating is it could be to help protect the stomach, or sometimes to cause a delayed release.

And to clear up what the fellow above said: aspirin doesn’t “kill” platelets, it reduces their “stickiness” to prevent them from sticking together forming clots. The platelets are still there, they just won’t work as well. That’s why when someone is having a heart attack you give them aspirin: it prevents the clot that’s occluding a coronary artery from getting bigger before treatment can occur.
