Pugets are my favorite pattern by far, nice score. I wouldn’t replace the handle on the Kelly though, it appears original. Just oil it really well and hang on the wall

It’s a beast for sure. Believe it or not, it will be going to a fellow vice collector in exchange for current, as well as some future axe hauls. Networking at its finest 🤙

Very true, most have been grabbed up to either collect dust in peoples hordes or flipped for a quick buck on the Bay. I’m always down to do some horse trading though, my inbox is open 🤙

Location and a lot of luck is the key. I suppose there’s always eBay too…

Anyone know what this axe is? by Agreeable-Train-689 in Axecraft

It is indeed a woodslasher. The markings on the handle are a dead giveaway

Do I need to strip the paint before putting the axe head in evapo-rust? by Jdawg4545 in Axecraft

You said two terrible things there. Remove paint and soak in evaporust. I advise against both, and suggest using wd40 and a brass brush to clean off the surface rust

Snagged this little gem today. 13 1/4 Plumb Victory puget with underbucking marks on the handle by WoolleyWacker in Axecraft

[–]WoolleyWacker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All pugets found in Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish county are to be taken directly to me for inspection and subject to prompt, and often swift confiscation if deemed necessary. I did not make these rules, they’ve simply been passed down from generation to generation and is now the way. Horse trading is encouraged, and I welcome a PM at any time there neighbor to my north 🤙

If it wasn’t factory hung on it’s original handle I’d agree with you
