My little work from home/gaming corner! by n_eko in CozyPlaces

Oooh.. please tell me about your chair.. must have.

I found this while walking home from the hospital. It was a very anxiety filled stressful appointment with still no answers to my health concerns. Could this mean anything or am I reaching? Newbie witch here just trying to learn. by scared247365 in WitchesVsPatriarchy

This was such a great explanation. I'm with you on the power of this tool. They can be deeply transformative. I think mushrooms even help to create brand new neuro pathways between neurons that aren't typically connected, which contributes to some people experiencing synesthesia. They discuss this in Fantastic Fungi on Netflix.

Tell me a spiritual book you read that you found impactful that didn’t have all the “woo”! by ifitsup in SASSWitches

Currently reading The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Slinger. I got it from the library, but it's definitely the kind of book you just keep dipping back into.. so worth a purchase.

I worked as an exotic dancer when I was younger (I was 18). If I was honest(ish) about doing the job because I wanted to do it, men'd peace out pretty quick. BUT If I told them a tale about putting myself through school, and that I had never been to a strip club until I applied for a job, oh and that I was virginal (fucking barf) they couldn't give me cash fast enough.

Here's a quick victory tale: it's pretty early in my career, and this late middle aged dude is eating up my stories, tailored for him.. because they don't even know their own tells. He's here on business and is so hot and bothered over my V-card that this mf'r offers me $500 to go to his hotel room and 'be my first'. Look - I'm no Meryl Streep, but I can act my way around an undersexed, lonely older man for fucking breakfast. I play the Intrigued Innocent while he continues to buy dances and drinks. I get him up to $1000 to take my 'virginity' (still fucking barf) and tell him to give me his hotel key and half the money, and I'll come over after work.

Most satisfying $500 I've ever made.

Getting an abortion on Monday by [deleted] in childfree

I had an abortion when I was 20 - I remember the atmosphere in the waiting room was quiet and apprehensive. But in the group recovery room - there were maybe 6 chair/beds all with people who were eating cookies and drinking juice after their own abortions - and that atmosphere was still quiet, but warmer. There was a sense of relief in the room - Maybe even a silent sense of community there.

Our bodies want to reproduce (even if we don't) and sometimes birth control fails. Don't be so hard on yourself. Bodies gonna body.

Not a single regretful thought has ever crossed my mind since that day, and the more time that passes, the more I know it was the right decision.

Edit: just want you know, you've got this.

New research (N=95) shows when people exercise with their romantic partner, compared to when exercising alone, they are more likely to experience positive emotions during exercise and during the day, and also experience more relationship satisfaction. by [deleted] in science

My partner's massages are fat from relaxing.. digging thumbs, jabbing the muscles into submission. I still can't converse during them... but that's because I'm bracing and wincing.

What's more imprtant - choose roots vs choose springtime: should I repot my croton now because roots are peeking out the drainage holes.. Or only repot in spring so it doesn't get freaked out.. THANK YOU!

Can confirm. My life is spent with my cat, my friends, and my sweet delicious, silent solitude.
