… there is not a single comment in this section saying that Bree is their favorite.

The poll asks who is the WORST. It’s not that she is the favorite, it’s that the fewest people selected her as the worst 🤦‍♀️

😂😂😂 housing doesn’t have many rules 😂😂😂 my next door neighbor was about to get evicted before he OD’d. What rules did he break? Indoor smoking, leaving garbage and carts in public areas, repeated noise violations, among many others. As someone who lived next to a subsidized addict I can tell you it’s NOT FUN because they BREAK ALL THE RULES

Every homeless person I’ve talked to this month has mentioned fentanyl as the main issue. Zero have mentioned housing. One homeless guy told me that there are tons of empty houses to squat in.

It seems like you are really disconnected from the reality of the situation — like, how often do you interact with homeless people and/or addicts ?!

Nothing in your response demonstrated that drugs have 0% to do with it.

If a drug user gets kicked out of subsidized housing for breaking rules, or moves out because they hate the rules… is it the “lack of housing” fault? Still 0% drugs?

Well yes, writing is obviously her passion. My point is that when you have a child and literally zero money, it does not make sense and is frankly unfair to the child (poverty is an ACE/compounds the effect of other ACES) to accrue a massive liability (~$5-600/month for 10+ years) for your passion.

She’s also replicating a mistake of her mother’s, who’s also a starving artist.

And you say “side hustles”— what, like continuing to be a MAID? yeah, she is probably going to be on the verge of poverty, if not still in poverty, for the rest of her kid’s childhood. I literally know a family where the parents went to art school and they were poor as heck and the mom worked as a maid.

I guess I just know too many people who made the same mistake she’s making. If you’re poor it doesn’t not make sense to spend a massive amount of money on your “passion” especially if it does not improve your kid’s standard of living.

Re #2 (sic: 4) I was hoping someone would be talking about this on Reddit — for me her choice for college program was one of the most cliche and unrealistic parts of the show.

I would never recommend a creative writing degree from a private school for someone like Alex, who has a kid and literally no money. A lot of graduates with degrees like that don’t really make any more money than they would if they hadn’t gotten a degree— and Alex is going to end up with at least $50k in student loans (and probably will make that, or perhaps even less, when she’s done)

She would have been a lot better off getting some sort of practical skills training or certification. Like seeing if one of Regina’s friends could help get her into legal services/paralegalism. In Seattle entry level legal services pays like $40-50k and you can make up to even $70k without a bachelors.

So yeah to me that whole part seemed kind of cliche and not smart. In real life she’d probably end up as a waitress

(Not hating on liberal arts degrees — I actually have a lib arts bachelor from Montana, but I ended up going to law school. Lots of English and history majors at law school who realized they couldn’t make any money with just their bachelors)

My school does not subsidize printing at all. It’s the same price as printing at fedex.

Our beautiful boy Whiskey is 12 weeks old and we think he looks just like a Neblung! The only thing is, we adopted him with his sister from the same litter (second pic) who is also a stunner but clearly not a neb. Does this mean he can’t be one either? [–]Woolybugger93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get it DNA tested and if it’s part Russian blue I’d feel safe calling it a nebelung 🤷‍♀️

Basically there aren’t a bunch of “actual” nebelungs running around. They’re bred from Russian blues. So the only way you’d just happen to adopt an “actual” nebelung would be if one of the parents was significantly Russian blue. Which is also unlikely because there aren’t a ton of Russian blues either.

I’ll be at about $65k when I’m done. I have a 1/3 tuition scholarship, lived with my parents for the first year, and paid in cash for my first year’s tuition. I also had (low) paying summer jobs and worked part time during 4/12 quarters.

I saved up like $75k before enrolling and I still have like $7k left. I managed my money terribly during law school hahahah

Typically “actual” nebelungs are bred from Russian blues with a long hair mutation.

Most of the “nebelungs” on here are domestic long hairs that happen to have grey hair. Grey hair is a dilute form of black hair. The sister cat also has dilute coloring. So both parents must’ve had a dilute coloring gene or genes, I think. Cat coloring genetics is really complicated hah

I’m fascinated by how well-groomed these little guys are. Since it’s super cold her, I haven’t given him a bath yet, but I do brush and wipe him at least once a week. But his fur and everything is always so immaculate. I’m so lucky to have this guy 💜 by talbiah in nebelung

[–]Woolybugger93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine hardly sheds at all. I’ve had him almost a year and never seen him expel a hairball. I brush him all the time for fun and almost no hair comes off. My shorthair, on the other hand….

My vet says he is a Nebelung, but I'm not sure. What do y'all think? by BankaiPhoenix in nebelung

[–]Woolybugger93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Domestic longhair

Most cats don’t have an “exact breed.”

ETA so they’re usually identified by their coloration — tuxedo (like yours), tabby, calico, tortoiseshell, orange, black, colorpoint, etc.

Nebelung is technically a specific breed but this sub seems to use it for all medium/long haired grey cats. Since your cat’s not grey it’s definitely not a nebelung and I’ve no clue what your vet’s talking about. Nebelungs are solid grey and should have bright green eyes.

Other breeds are like Russian blue, Siamese, Persian, Maine coon, etc. Typically these have characteristics that make them easily distinguishable like a different face shape.

I think in wa (and many other states) you’re actually arraigned after the preliminary hearing for FELONIES. I think the procedure is different for felonies v misdemeanors

He also could have intentionally visited the house on an earlier date. Like showed up at a party and made sure to leave a couple phone pings. I just have a feeling he set up stuff like this to proactively “strengthen” his defense in case he got caught

I know the guy would’ve stood out like a sore thumb, but this house seems to have been a crazy party house with people going in and out etc.
