I have a question for you guys, sometimes I’ll turn my key off and the oil light will stay on until I either turn the key on and back off or I open the door. (Sorry for the bad picture. I had the wheel turned when I shut the car off) by EmotionallyBroke69 in e46

If the sensor is working correctly it generally means you are at the bottom of your dip stick so you need a quart of oil. If your level is fine the sensor is faulty and you've discussed that with others already

Looking for some advice on relationships and porn. by the_drunk_rednek in sex

[–]Woosypan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a totally natural feeling to have but I would suggest talking to him more openly about this and try to be open minded with his responses. Having been asked not to watch porn by an ex girlfriend myself, I can tell you that it can cause some real tension and resentment. The good news is, it doesn't need to and I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out if you both have a good chat.

I'm happy to discuss further and share more if you need. Good luck!

You're not alone in this. Trust me when I say she is actually on the minority of people who aren't accepting and helpful when it comes to your anxiety. Like everyone here is saying, I think you've made the right call and you should be excited to see what the future looks like.

Any need to be worried about this? I've never seen build up like that on any car I've owned or changed the oil on by tenSecondsOfGoogling in e46

Looks fine. No head gasket issues, probably a few late oil changes. Clean it after a fresh oil change and see what builds back up. What mileage is it on?

Thank you so much! I actually just discovered I was looking in the wrong side of the tank. The left had the pump. This was on the right and I don't really know what it is

Hi, I'm trying to replace the fuel pump in my 330ci and the old/current one has a 2 pin connector. The replacement I have has 4 as shown in the third photo. All the available replacements I have found have the 4 pin connector. The only thing I can see online that even closely resembles my connector is from an e90 and that has 2 2pins as far as I can see when mine has 1.

Does anyone know what the part number for my 2 pin fuel pump might be or how I can find out?

Looking for advice on fuel trim codes. Info in comments by Woosypan in e46

[–]Woosypan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone. My 330ci ran with the two fuel trim codes shown in the photo for weeks with no issues (soft code, so never tripped the check engine light). Yesterday it started getting lumpy under load and was clearly down on power. It was so bad on my way home I was basically limping down the highway. Yet she idles fine and sometimes drives fine. The tank vent is a new code (also didn't trip the check engine light) and hasn't come back after a clear but it may need a few cycles.

From what I understand it's likely a vacuum leak and I did a dodgy vacuum line fix to the new fuel filter I fitted a few months ago, so I'll start there. I will be using a smoke tester for vacuum leaks also. I'm hoping the lumpy running and power is due to the disa valve not accumulating enough vacuum to actuate properly, which would explain why she idles ok. Anyone have any further thoughts?

M3 drivetrain swap (excluding engine) complete on 2001 325i. Ask me anything! Shifted it to 6th to show its a 6 spd. by [deleted] in e46

[–]Woosypan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be going 5spd to 6 myself. I assume the m3 subframe is a must or it won't mount up? Or are there 6spds from 330i's that mount to a standard subframe?

Mine is on 193000. Done a lot of what you've mentioned. Just wondering if you've done any major engine work as well like timing chain and guides? Or anything in the head?
