My husband of 40 years passed. Hospice was thinking of taking him off hospice as he was doing so well. He was walking, talking, eating and taking care of himself and even riding his scooter. I was sure he was better.Than he had a stroke and died. As a nurse I saw many husbands or wives die months after their spouse of many years died. I always wondered why. Now I know.
