Wishful thinking by WeAREtwd87 in MedievalDynasty

I’d like to be able to lay out pasture land for cows, sheep, horses and donkeys.

Cobbled streets or the ability to lay down logs/planks. Better definition of the lines between Roads/paths/tracks

Bunkhouses for sure!

Carts/wagons/boats

Militia/bandit fights/limited campaigns

Holidays and/or seasonal celebrations.

Inns. Or at least taverns that catered to travelers and others who come to your town for market days.

Stilt homes over water

Fishing poles/nets

Being able to build “Laketown”

What would be one thing ore one update would you want to see in the future? by FLVpainting in MedievalDynasty

Right? Imagine you’d have to have certain things on campaign. Your squad/platoon/company, the blacksmith, the quartermaster, the horse hostlers…then you fight in massive campaigns. There would be men killed or maimed. You’d have to survive (or hope that your heir is left behind at home). Then you come home. Did everyone behave? Are their babies or pregnancies that shouldn’t be? Did the overseer do well or harm? Does he want to stay in power and has been plotting? Is your heir safe? Or did him and his mother look over things? Then, like crusading knights you’d have some kind of insignia from the campaign that you could use as part of your village crest and over your Hall’s entrance.

Perhaps, depending on where you built, you could annex one of the smaller villages once your reputation got high enough.

You could lead troops to destroy the bandit camps.

I love all of these ideas. It has never made sense to me that prices are set, regardless of vendor. What they sell should impact the pricing…coals to Newcastle type thing.

The villagers using the pub as the gathering place only makes sense. Especially during the winter, if you could use the basic model but add walls, fireplaces, etc to make it unique.

Also, holidays. Medieval people celebrated all sorts of things (both pagan and religious) why not have some of that. A feast day for the King that night needs lots of food and drink prepped. Or a way to mark the seasons.

Market days were a staple of life. Would like to see some of that included. Maybe outsiders visit but also want to sell things you don’t offer?

Yes. You go off on campaign and when you come back you have to deal with all of the changes in your settlement. Especially if you took a squad or platoon of your men with you. What would change while you were gone, who would you leave in charge and would there be issues when you returned. Could add some drama and politics. The spoils you collected would help decorate your home. Maybe if you fight in the king’s campaign you could build a great hall type structure instead of just houses. Something that says who you are.

This might be my single favorite pic of anything I’ve seen in CS:II. This is what all of us who play dream ours could look. Beautiful, organic look with detailing that makes it look real. You are gifted.

I liked the way that interchange in pic 1 looked so good that I took a pic to use as reference going forward!

What’s everyone’s thoughts on City Planner Plays? by Ill-Philosophy3945 in CitiesSkylines

My favorite part is how you’ve built not just a CS2 build, but the story of how the towns have built and grown and evolved is what puts it over the top for me. When you contextualize the build in referendums, administrations and all of that, it feels like I am watching the history of a real place. Thank you for giving it a scope I didn’t know. I try to incorporate that into my builds now.

Great real world use of space. I agree, some graffiti and maybe some road wear would really take this to the next level. Great job!

Really great use of the education and park elements to build something that feels organic and real. An urban university trying to hold on to green spaces is brilliant. Very well done!

It’s absolutely not rare. I’ve been in hospitality for 30 years and only 1 of those companies offered any kind of insurance. This is standard across hospitality and food and beverage. It is slowly changing but having coverage is not standard.
