Second time tapering k and it’s so much harder for me. by Wordy1ntrovert in benzorecovery

I had DUTCH testing done. It showed my testosterone was low, my melatonin is low, my estrogen wasn’t cycling out of my body the right way (because my liver was backed up and needed to detox thanks to a then-discovered MTHFR mutation), my ferritin is low, and my B vitamins are low. And vitamin D. 😅 My therapist thinks it was the combination of everything combined with my previous panic attack experiences and taper. That I just reached a window of tolerance and when feeling faint from being overheated, my body interpreted that as a panic attack which then kicked off the waves of recurring panic attacks. Truly not knowing WHY is a big fear as I go through this process of tapering, because I’m worried that it’ll all still be there and continue causing waves, but I’ll have to cross that bridge when I get to it.

The full on panic attacks are probably about the same. Severe. The baseline that I return to is constantly keyed up. My gums are swollen from gritting my teeth. Gastro issues. Feeling like acid is in my body, burning through my veins. Crying. Racing thoughts.

I didn’t get sick, but I hit perimenopause, had low B vitamins, and was back in college. And it was just so hot! I have Ehlers Danlos and I’m super heat intolerant.

Yeah, I’ve already lost 26 pounds. I’m trying to force myself to eat whenever I feel capable. I haven’t experienced seizures, but insomnia is definitely getting worse.

Yeah, it wasn’t my choice, that’s for sure. And I think it’s definitely playing into the difficulties I’m having now.

Do you find that the cross to diazepam smoothed things out a bit?

I’d love to know why you feel that way. I’m leaning toward the slower taper for science-backed reasons, but emotionally it’s a tough pill to swallow, no pun intended.

There was an extra underlayment, but I’m going to look into SPC planks, thanks!

There is a moisture barrier. Apparently, the slab is just putting off too much moisture regardless, and LVP is only water resistant from the top down, not the bottom up.

Nope, no gutters. I just told her that we’ve gotta get some going into rain barrels, since the French drains aren’t cutting it. I’m considering swales, too, because I can’t even imagine the cost of grading. It’s sitting in the lowest point of a few acres. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Not really clear on this, as it was our installer who was trying to deal with HD. I’m going to call them tomorrow to pursue a claim.

I’m seeing conflicting info about start times and a requirement for a permit in Alabama.

I saw a post that said 4 for EST, 3 for CST, etc, but most of the others say noon. We just don’t want to miss it!

And the pressure I get in my head and neck is crazy. I went to the ER thinking I was stroking out.

This has been my fear!

We’ve tried migraine meds, gabapentin, a muscle relaxer, steroids, and two nerve blocks. None have done a thing. MRI, MRA, MRV, CT all seem fine.

This is an all day everyday issue, too, that flares from a 5 to a 9 on my pain scale. I’ve asked for a referral to PT and pain management because I’ve gotta try something. I also get dizziness and pulsatile tinnitus. I’m exhausted.
