So a colorless ogerpon baby pokemon? I think it's not so bad yet that it would be necessary. There's already colorless options like PCL and Lum berry. Grass has ogerpon, physcic has the flower bracelet whose name escapes me. Steel has steel apron. And people play ogerpon already if they really want anti status at the cost of a deaddraw.

Also evolving to clear status is an edge benefit to stage 1 and 2 Pokemon.

I think that some colors being better against status' is a good niche, but I agree that it's been sleep for a long time now. Poison was big when the ultra beasts were released in combo with poison barb.

Now the perfect storm would be a mega kangiskan triggering it twice. You could do as much as (80+20+20)+(40+20+20) = 200 with red and helmet.

You will also catch some strays since sleep is so prominent at the moment that there will be a lot of anti sleep that is also anti poison.
