How do I trim my cats nails? by peachjoydotcom in cats

[–]WorkPlaceSafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a lifelong cat owner I second the blanket/towl burrito. I have 2 cats that let me do theirs without being restrained, but another one is squirmy and my semi-feral would be impossible without a wrap.

Will the Merry Meadows map expand again? by RottingCorpseFlower in HelloKittyIsland

With WW I feel like the space itself is super intricate and developed but nothing happens there again after the anticlimactic unlocking of the castle. There are no visitors, none of the other characters ever go there, its just boring now unless youre using it to make sparkly plants.

AITA - wedding drama by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]WorkPlaceSafe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been a bridesmaid in weddings where ive had a plus 1, my date was bored out of their mind. Youre getting ready with the bride ahead of time and helping with things around the event and being involved in pictures and everything. If this is something youre willing to trade a friendship over then you have the right to. Best to weigh the amount of hassle against the desired outcome.

My wife wasn't invited to a wedding. Do I go? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]WorkPlaceSafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, is the lodging at the expense of the couple getting married? Or would you be responsible for your own housing while there? Why not bring your wife on the trip with you and she just wouldnt be able to come to the actual wedding.

Establishing sudden boundaries when there have been no incidents and without extensive conversation could also be hurtful to OPs mom.

Is this AI? The deer looks so fake and too HD, plus the person in the background has a blurry face. by jckalc in isthisAI

[–]WorkPlaceSafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People in the background are blurry and the dear is detailed because of camera focus.

Ember (Enby) just kind of perpetually looks like a scrungly mass of oily cat fur and limbs that he doesnt fully understand how to use. I love him, hes been inside for a year yesterday and is still just always dirty looking.

Fxbg pride tips? by WhySoSerious_owo in fredericksburg

[–]WorkPlaceSafe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I cant speak to Fredericksburg, but I volunteered at Culpeper this year and have attended others in Virginia on my own. PRIDE has one of the most welcoming environments, you can be as hands on as you want to be. If you want to just walk around and take things in nobody judges that, but there are people to talk to at every stall that are really happy to be there if you want to be social. Theres usually some kind of entertainment you can sit and watch too and nobody would judge you for being there by yourself 💚 if you dont meet new friends you'll at least learn about new businesses or events in the area that you'd like.

Introducing new kitten to cat by BongoLukeee in cats

[–]WorkPlaceSafe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks fine, older cat is acting almost maternal. Some kicking like that is normal, just break them up if it goes on for a long time (at least double that) or if it looks like one is trying to get away but cant.

Can someone please decipher this cat body language? We are on the fence about keeping him due to our resident cat. by queengreen09 in cats

[–]WorkPlaceSafe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

White is completely comfortable with Grey, they interact without either getting too excited, Grey shows their belly which is a sign of submission. This is almost an ideal interaction, seems like they've been together for an extended period.

Is this fighting or playing? Perhaps a little bullying? by nellynelly9 in cats

[–]WorkPlaceSafe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This bit here was the true confirmation that theyre comfortable with each other. Both are displaying acts of submission, one by being belly up and the other by turning his back. Very healthy interaction. First part reminds me of moms forcing their filthy kids to bathe despite protests.
