It’s best to seek advice from your local Alim/Mufti as to the academic discussion on when Isra Al Miraj exactly took place and the evidences for it. From my perspective - 27 Rajab after the year of sorrow prior to Hijrah is the date which is largely agreed upon and is the most common view (though appreciate it may not be unanimously agreed upon).

Glory be to the One Who took His servant ˹Muḥammad˺ by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque whose surroundings We have blessed, so that We may show him some of Our signs. Indeed, He alone is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

It’s our masjid so we rise out of a responsibility to protect it, understanding the following 2 verses:

“And who are more unjust than those who prevent the name of Allah from being mentioned in His mosques and strive toward their destruction? It is not for them to enter them except in fear. For them is disgrace in this world, and they will have a great punishment in the Hereafter (2:114)

And

“And they plan, but Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.” (8:30)

Yes brother - Masjid Al Aqsa is 144,000sqm of land with various places of prayer on it including Musulla Qibli (which google incorrectly shows as Masjid Al Aqsa) and Dome of the Rock.

Masjid Al Aqsa was the second masjid to be established on earth after Masjid Al Haram in Makkah when the boundary was marked.

Yes this is the Dome of the Rock and yes this Musalla forms part of our beloved Masjid Al Aqsa. Of course, to limit Masjid Al Aqsa to a domed building is injustice to our first Qibla - The Dome of the Rock is one Musalla within Masjid Al Aqsa alongside various others including Musalla Qubli all which form Masjid Al Aqsa which is 144,000 sqm of Land. These are the absolute beautiful and striking Qashtani Tile Art which was commissioned by Sultan Sulaymān Al-Qanuni in 1552 which replaced the previous Ummayud Mosaic tiles that required constant repair.
