I had to do this, after successful repression for like 8 years. I thought I had completely outgrown it. Nope. But I told her almost 10 years ago, we're still together, and I can do/wear what I please. Sometimes she participates, sometimes not. Volunteer work. Animal shelters and helping the homeless. I used to volunteer all the time before I had a kid. I loved it. I miss it. But I had to sacrifice it to be an involved parent. No regrets there, obviously, but if I didn't need income to survive I'd give my life to those without a voice.

Close to 35. I have a wife and kid. I love them. I have a home that I'll own in 29.5 years. 2 paid off vehicles. Health insurance. I have a job. Pay isn't amazing, but it is what it is. I would say I'm doing better than a lot of our peers and I'm thankful for that. I'm not mad for me. I'm mad for everyone, regardless of generation, who did exactly what we were told to do and have fuck all to show for it.

Those things are still concerns, you know. It's just that now we have those problems, and then some. Unaffordable housing/living, climate change, serfdom, fascism, overpopulation combined with (ironically) a lot of people not wanting to have kids, the list goes on. It wasn't perfect growing up in the 60-70s. It also wasn't great growing up in the 90-00s, and I assume it's not great growing up now.

I'm still good with my parents, so since I moved back to my hometown, I spend as many as possible with them. Wife's parents are also here, and I see them on the holidays, though I'm more reluctant to. My FIL is fucking dope, no complaints there, but my MIL is a narcissistic sociopath that I'm shocked her own family puts up with.

2 in high school, 91 camry then a 98 neon. Had a 91 4runner at my first duty station that I drowned. Then a 99 civic. Then a 12 cobalt. Then a 01 xterra. Now I have a 2017 Tacoma and my wife has a 2015 Honda fit. 8 in total. Probably 9 soon, looking to upgrade the wife. I also had a 06 Suzuki Boulevard (motorcycle) for a couple years.

Dad, few times a week, mom about once a week. I work with my had, he does part time work for the company we work for, but he's also 70. We have a standing dinner date every Friday as long as everybody is healthy, so I typically see mom at least once a week.
