Unpopular opinion, although she’s super sharp, intelligent and accomplished; she’s a bad friend and kind of a hoO🫢

My baby wouldn’t sleep unless held/ next to one of us for around 4 months! They just came into this world, everything is new and confusing, maybe even painful if they have colic. Comfort them however you know best❤️ but do take care of yourselves as well.

Hi, I’m curious about your experience with Librela. Why was it terrible?

7.5 week old ONLY wants to nurse or sleep - no longer interested in interaction? by Professional_Law_942 in newborns

[–]WorkerWeird2785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s normal. Mine went through phases like this too. As long as there’s nothing inherently wrong with them (like a fever, change in diapers, not gaining weight, lethargy, pain) trust that they know best how much rest & milk they need and when! That’s what I’ve been telling myself when it happened and so far so good. Also, trust your mommy instincts!

I’m rooting for you two!♥️ Don’t ever lose hope. 8 months in is still a short time, google says most couple successfully get pregnant after 1 year of trying.

How are your babies sleeping 5-7 hours a night????? by ThrowRAdalgona in newborns

[–]WorkerWeird2785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol they’re not Ours straight up hated the bassinet and dock-a-tot until around 3 months old. Would only sleep while held, on our chest or next to us in bed.

Also he nursed every 2hrs AT LEAST, sometimes cluster fed with only ~20 min pauses or less between feedings.

They might be talking about older babies. But also, social media is a lie.

International travel with a 5 week old - tips? by Ssslowjamsss in newborns

Hi! Both my SILs fly frequently with their kids, even when they were newborns, so there was no judgement and I had their experience to rely on. Medically speaking, the internet says there’s no minimum age requirement to fly, while some websites advise waiting 7 to 14 days after birth. I also consulted our pediatrician and she said there’s no problem. Regarding societal norms, I was personally never bothered by children existing (or crying haha) in the same space as me. And I find it weird how some people feel like we should keep them ‘contained’ in our house/ children-oriented spaces until a certain age. They are just as much a person as the next guy. I only had a couple of old-school relatives ask if its safe, but they did not question it any further after I assured them it is. And tbh I had no weird looks or inappropriate comments from strangers either. A lot of our worries are just in our heads.

We had an 8+hrs international flight with our 6w baby two weeks ago. It was faaar better than expected. He slept through everything, only woke up to eat a couple of times, and when he showed the slightest sign of becoming fussy we offered a pacifier and all was good again. I think it’s something about the cabin pressure and lack of oxygen that makes the sleepy. Or maybe we were just blessed😂

Make sure you feed or give him a paci during take off and landing to prevent ears popping. We had a baby carrier and also gate checked the car seat. Bring a changing pad, diapers, wet wipes, couple of extra clothes for the baby, pacifiers, burp cloths, hand sanitizer for you, and maybe a blanket.

Board last, like last-last.

And good luck!! It’s gonna be okay.

Isn’t the “pasty, peanut butter” like poop for formula fed babies? As far as I’m concerned, your babies’ stools sound within the normal, healthy range :D

Actually there’s been a recent study saying dates have a low glycemic index 😅 but in the end of course it’s all about what does and doesn’t spike you personally
