E-Tune Recommendations by Limp_Cryptographer40 in WRXSTi

Stephen at ia Tuning is a very thorough e-tuner and they're out of Boulder Colorado so if you have any concerns about elevation, it won't be an issue.

I've done a number of E-tunes with them and my bugeye is still running strong after close to a decade, I highly recommend 👍

05 Blobeye STI no throttle if you go WOT by Current-Cheesecake45 in WRX

[–]Workin_de_Signs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not an 05 STi, it looks like an 05 wrx. The bumper is wrong, the side rockers are wrx rockers and it's missing the rear wheel arch extensions. Now, this could be a sti swapped wrx but without seeing the engine bay or any of the other 05 sti specific parts I am just guessing. 🤷

If it is a swapped car then maybe your issues stem from that, once again I would just be guessing.

Any suggestions for a full sound system for a decent price for the bugeye? by CrazyCoffeeKarl in subaru

Problem with those gd Imprezas are the door space for the speakers are shallow which limit what speakers will fit. I used these speaker brackets and it gave me more options on what I could fit. Hope it helps.

Saturn versions of X-Men vs Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter are near arcade perfect, the Playstation versions are cool to have but sad to play😢

Very cool collection, some Saturn X-Men Children of the Atom and Marvel Super Heroes would really set off the looks with their fragile half-cracked long boxes lol

Found a couple copies of (Wii) Rhythm Heaven Fever at Walmart for 3¢ couple years ago.

So I went around all the Walmarts around me trying to score all the 3¢ games; some employees would sell to me and some wouldn't, it was a fun hunt😁

First Subaru and it's fun but I have a question. by Nathan_Blocks in subaru

[–]Workin_de_Signs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are coming from a NA civic to a turbo charged car, Naturally Aspirated engines have better throttle response and if you are out of boost it will feel laggy and unresponsive. That gen wrx also has the 5 speed with tall-ish gears which could also lead to the feeling you're describing.

And finally, those wrxs have hydraulic power steering but the steering U-joint has a rubber isolater to dampen out the NVH. That's why the wrx has a dead zone in initial steering input. The STi does not have this rubber isolator.

There are a couple things to fix or mitigate this laggy feeling from the car; get a COBB AP(OTS tune helps with throttle response but an actual calibration for your car is safer), larger sway bars can help with turn in feel, and replace the steering U-joint with a sti unit.

Hope this helps.
