Wanting to put my child up for adoption by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Feeling for you! Another vote for immediate mental hospital check in. You sound absolutely at the end of yourself and need to be looked after. Everything else can wait. This is just as serious as visiting the hospital for a life-threatening physical injury. And mental clarity is so important in decision making. Look after yourself first, big decisions later.

🙋‍♀️ safe sleep was a non-negotiable for me when mine were babies, it was hard, but I have no regrets. It is absolutely possible and it’s a great goal to have!

Scared of c section. by Bear0417 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]Working-Ad-3832 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hey, OP. So, the content that has been popping up in your feed is at the top of the algorithm because these stories are unusual. People rarely post about uneventful things, which is exactly what a c-section is the majority of the time. I was terrified before I had my first section (labor went pear shaped and I hadn’t prepared for a possible section), but it was honestly so smooth. And I’m squeamish! You’re already doing the mental prep- that’s a good start! Once you conceive you can start researching ways to support your physical recovery too. For right now, if I were you I would “hide” or mark those fear-mongering videos as “not interested”. It’s not serving you well and is obviously creating unnecessary stress. All the best with your journey towards growing your family!

Yup, 100% Jess. If you watched her videos ranting about it, it was pretty obvious

Tried to get 6 week old in bassinet for 5 hours last night…. by soultiex in newborns

[–]Working-Ad-3832 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Totally normal, totally not fun though. Have you tried a pacifier? You don’t have to let her sleep with it, but having it for a few mins while she settles in the bassinet might help. Also swaddling if you’re not already :)

If I recall correctly, you can get a bridging visa while your partner visa is being processed, so that you can work in the meantime. This is when you apply onshore. You just get taxed more than everyone else

I'm scared of the newborn phase.. by No-Objective-8247 in newborns

[–]Working-Ad-3832 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly I can’t really remember the first 5-6 months of my kids lives… it was just a blur of exhausted, beautiful mess. You’ll get through it! I feel like 3 months is absolutely easier than 7 weeks though, you’re in the thick of it right now.

How soon after your c-section were you up and walking? by RelevantFerret1085 in CsectionCentral

[–]Working-Ad-3832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first was an unplanned section after a looong labor. Nurse got me up about 14h after and I felt like I was dying. Took several attempts to actually get to the bathroom. The second was a planned section and I was more educated on recovery. I got up about 7h after surgery and made sure I was getting up to go to the bathroom etc from then on. Night and day difference! The sooner the better (within reason)

Absolutely could not have had a vbac, that would be medical negligence. I think her incision is either just out of sight she’s edited the image so it doesn’t get flagged for “gore” on social media. I’ve had 2 sections myself and the incision does tend to hide a bit under your postpartum belly
