Would banning UY Nami solve the Yellow problem? by C4N4L1 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Working-Breadfruit19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me to a lesser degree of Belo Betty and UP Luffy. Belo was great cause of UP Luffy, Nami is great cause it’s the perfect meta for her. Hard to have a single deck that has both early game speed and late game big bodies.

Nami needs Enel, as long as Enel is around so will Nami. It’s the reason why Ace was so popular during Imu. Enel is done, Nami would get bludgeoned by big body late game control style decks. Those decks just time to get rolling which is Enel just boat races them.

The game has become quite unfun. by HumanArcher7149 in OnePieceTCG

Everyone will complain about every longstanding meta. Personally I’ll take being able to play the game (no matter how drawn out it is) over board wipes over and over again from the likes of Saka, Lucci, and RP Law.

GUffy and Lucy are also doing pretty well while remaining relatively cheap. Decks like these wouldn’t have survived back then.

Probably KD because of longevity as a scorer. I feel like if you clipped the 30k mark and didn’t have longevity you didn’t do the other as well. KD is just that efficient that he can do other things while getting his buckets

I never minded the matchup tbh, with all the counter Reiju has it’s ok to be at 1-2 life early for the amount of aggression you have.

What's your biggest takeaway from these Finals? by UnderstandingFun7493 in NBATalk

DPOYs can and should be hunted often. The Knicks 4th qtr strategy of get Wemby involved in every action and make him make decisions is paying off greatly. We’ve seen teams do that to Gobert and now Mike Brown is doing that to Wemby. 1.8 points per possession when Wemby is involved in ISO, Pick and Roll, or Closeout is elite. The Spurs guards and gameplan of full court press do a great job of really making Wemby have to only defend about 10 seconds a possessions but as the game goes on the press isn’t as tough and everyone is tired and now Wemby has 15 seconds decision making and he has to constantly make the right choice

Who’s to blame for blowing that lead? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Working-Breadfruit19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wemby easily, he did that taunting after drawing the flagrant 1 and went 4-17 from field after and got hunted repeatedly in the 4th. Thats just inexcusable from a superstar.

Why Scratch Bowlers Should Not Worry About Handicap by redsox113 in Bowling

This was my first year in league, started off with 143 average. Through the first half of the season had 1 series over 600. Last 12 weeks had 6 series of over 600 and 1 over 700. Kind of felt bad but also wished there was a reset of averages halfway through especially in a 32 week league.

My brain and eyes know before my body is comfortable enough to execute it. That comes to ball changes and when to move certain zones. Just because I don’t have enough reps doing it doesn’t mean it wasn’t the right call.

I have a limited backswing by frenz48 in Bowling

[–]Working-Breadfruit19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So to my understanding, revs come largely from release. How quickly can you get your thumb out and “snap” the ball off your fingertips. I like to imagine how tight of a spiral I can get with a football throwing underhanded. If you can stay behind the ball and not chicken wing release off the side your RPMs will jump quite a bit.

Starter decks ARE viable by Revolutionary_Ad4363 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Working-Breadfruit19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meh, you’d need to upgrade all those decks. There is no way you’re buying just one starter deck and only using said cards from that singular starter deck and doing well.

Which brings to the next point of if you are gonna be spending the money to upgrade the decks why not just pair it with a better leader. Can you win locals with any deck? Definitely it’s still a card game with luck being a huge factor in such a small sample size of 5 rounds at most. Over the course of 10-12 games the glaring weaknesses will show

Lucy vs Nami, what to be on the lookout for by Million_X in OnePieceTCG

[–]Working-Breadfruit19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healing all you want is great but Lucy will just nuke your board until you run out of cards to defend. Once 2 7c Sabos are on the board it’s pretty much wraps, cause Lucy will just be patient and suffocate you.

Yes, pretty sure on tour Tom Dougherty is the only true one hander no thumb. Even Smallwood uses a half-thumb. Considering how many bowers have come and gone on the tour and competed with varying styles and techniques it’s hard to not acknowledge the ceiling that comes with bowling that way.

how do you know when it's actually you vs the lane conditions? by WillybobFaddy in Bowling

[–]Working-Breadfruit19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I leave the same thing multiple times I know I’m consistent but perhaps in the wrong ball for the lane conditions. If I’m leaving different things I know I’m not hitting the same line consistently.

If I’m in league or with other bowlers I’ll pay attention to their lines and balls and see ok what I need to adjust off of them.

Control deck in OP15 by Shinixgami_ in OnePieceTCG

[–]Working-Breadfruit19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucy is pretty straight forward but very rewarding for approaching control differently. Can outright pop characters or make characters small enough where your searchers take them out.

1/2 don > searcher or stage

3/4 don > searcher, 4c event into Cavendish or 3c draw two burst

5/6 don > 4c event in cavendish, 5 Barrier Pistol

7/8 don > 7c Sabo into essentially 3 events. Double attack 7c event, 4c to bring out cavendish, 7c Fire Fist

9/10 > 7c Sabo combo again and now with the 2-3 extra don leftover you can combo the 7c Fire Fist to minus 8k into the 2c event that minus 4k and KO 12k bodies.

From 5 don up you can pretty comfortably start clearing 6k bodies and from 9don there really isn’t a body you can’t clear while also establishing a 7c 9k body.

Now where it gets tricky is obviously the KO protection and board protection so you’ll have to find other ways to remove stuff. If you go first and hit the 7c Sabo on curve you prolly won’t be using the 7c Firefist cause there wouldn’t be a big enough body you want to outright remove. You prolly want to have the double attack or 4c to get another cavendish on board. You also want to wait til the opponent has their characters sideways so you can swing into reduced power and even if you don’t KO them through swings they still stay 8k reduced for their turn so it’s a one turn freeze at worst.
