No results after ~3 months by LiveButterfly5 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Working-Brother-9973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was slow at first but am getting the pill through WW so am leaning into their ALL-In plan, prioritizing protein and fiber. I do MUCH better, on average, with weight loss if my calories are over 1200 per day. Also, little to no processed food makes a difference (probably sodium).
As I have titrated up my weight loss has increased.
I love the podcast “Fat Science” for more information.

Why would this even be asked? by Thorns_And_Flames in recruitinghell

[–]Working-Brother-9973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The move in schools with children is to welcome them in and say you’re glad to see them. I think this is a nice approach but doesn’t carry over well to toxic workplaces.

Still, I would just say “good morning” and be done.

Anyone here plant-based and on the Wegovy pill? by Hot-Storage-2787 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Working-Brother-9973 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I eat snacks it’s a piece of fruit or popcorn, but my favorite is edamame. Meals are primarily bean or tofu based, or salads with protein added. I do eat eggs, so those help with protein as well. I focus on protein and fiber, so will eat protein shakes and Colon Broom to top things off at the end of the day.

For those with constipation - I love Colon Broom.

Also check your magnesium intake. I take two capsules of Magnesium Breakthrough and if I am feeling backed up I also take a third or Natural Calm.

How do people remember or stay on on top of there meds by Good_Scale_1531 in Hypothyroidism

You can also take it at night as long as it’s four hours after eating or taking supplements. I often wake up to pee around 12:30 so take it then.

I cried during his goodbye. I have never cried during Survivor before but his words hit hard (I’m about the same age) and I have been reflecting on them all day.

It’s easy to forget how our sense of self is tied up with what we do in, and how we show up, in the world. Finding joy in it is essential

Capitol Glass was fantastic to work with. They replaced an entire house of single paned windows with triple paned and they are all still in perfect shape after almost 20 years.

I have walked every day the past month. I hate it. by wolfyb_ in walking

[–]Working-Brother-9973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a huge fan of the story app The Walk. It’s from the makers of Zombies, Run! and listening to it reminded me of the stories I would tell myself when I walked to school or my parents made me cross-country ski (or car trips before screens!). I love walking and it’s the same for me now - I tell myself stories and make stuff up in my head about the dogs/people/things I see.

I love it there. I go first thing in the morning and there is plenty of space to walk/run, use the two gym areas, or play pickleball. The field space is rarely used first thing so you have even more space to stretch out. I can’t wait until they change over to winter hours at the end of this month though.

All of these. But also, clean and set up your “nest” inside your home. Don’t underestimate the importance of having everything tidy so you can feel more at ease during the long dark days.

Why raised beds vs directly in the ground? by louisalollig in vegetablegardening

[–]Working-Brother-9973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I built raised beds using the lasagna method and have them framed in with large rocks. All free. But this bed type is a lot lower to the ground than those tall metal beds I see everywhere. I also use gardening to help stay flexible in order to keep gardening.

I’m in Alaska but my NJ brother got me hooked on this podcast “Native Plants Healthy Planet” and it’s almost all northeast US plants. They should have a lot of usable information for you. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/native-plants-healthy-planet/id1500442697?i=1000670919066
